Oh it looks so great! I'll cross my fingers for you and the weathering But I'm sure it will look wonderful I wonder, do you highlight these reds with yellow or white added? Looking forward to more!

I'm gonna have to go with dennis on this one. The reds are so well done, it would be a shame to cover them in dirt and grime and whatever else gets on armor over the years. Then again, i'm a tad biased against weathering

Right I have taken the plunge and started to age this thing, I'm not totally happy yet but I am getting there I think. The pic shows some parts that can be improved a little and I'll sort those bits out as I go along.

Thanks MaGie I haven't finished with the damage as yet, I intend to ad more but I don't want to overdo it so I am taking alot of time thinking about it and won't probably add it until the rest of the mini is done.

Thanks Andre well I'm back again with another update, the tabard is now done and also the purity seals and the crux terminatis. I am pleased with how the mini is going and especially pleased with the crux as this was lacking alot of detail and i had to paint that in freehand, also the cracked effect came out better than I had hoped. I am also going to try and add cobwebs to the mini when it is on the base that I am planning for it. Hopefully more updates soon.

It seems time does not stand still for you guys, I've been unable to place any post's for some time due to work. I do love spending a few hours going through old post's to see what I've missed and get some inspiration to do new stuff. The Blood angel Terminator is cool beyond belief and the ork on the prev' page makes me want to paint the wifes army for her. Well done Tim )

Well while I'm waiting for the basing materials for my last mini to arrive I thought I would get on and make a start on this, to be honest I've put this off for far too long and I still have another commission to do once this one is done, that will take alot more effort than this so I put this one as priority. It is funny how just turning the mini around to tkae a different shot gives a whole different look to the colour as can be seen in the first two photos, but the colour is even all over the mini and the first picture gives the truest representation of the look. The good thing about taking WIP shots is it helps me to see areas that needs more work like the top of the ear on the second photo. Anyway hope you like it so far.

Got a bit of time this weekend to do some painting and have made a good bit of progress on this mini from Steve Buddle's Eolith 54 range, I am quite happy so far, a couple of parts I need to work on some more I know but I think it is going in the right direction.

The eyes do look a little strange, and to me, it almost seems that one is a little bigger then the other I might be seeing things though (HAAAA!). Looks fantastic so far, though the cheek looks like it go do with a very small amount of blending just to get that streak smoothed out. Overall, fantastic work so far

Thanks for the remarks guys, I still have the eyes to fix though it is harder than you might think as one eye is sculpted larger than the other and therefore harder to make look right, I've done more work on the armour and the armoured parts are now almost done save a few more glazes here and there to tint the silvers a little more, I'll be reworking the eyes next I think, the longer I leave it the less likely it will be that i will actually correct them.

I like the model a lot, but not so much the face. It just has some weird angles, but I guess that's because of the sculpt. I hate doing eyes and I suck at it big time, I think that it actually doesn't look that bad. Not every face is symmetrical! But maybe if you want th illusion of them being the ame size, you could make the outline of the smaller eye a bit darker in the recesses.
The armour is stunning! I love the not-over-the-top details, and your paintjob is really making it stand out! As always, your blue is amazing, it makes it look very much alive. Looking foward to seeing it progress.

Here goes another update on Selene, more work on the face and eyes and a bit more work on the mini, the cloak at this point is only at basecoat stage. I am itching to try a painting guide from WD for the cloak so keep your fingers crossed for decent results.

Great to see you back at the brush, if just for a bit, Tim! She's coming along nicely. The facial skintone is excellent! The eyes (as you've noted above) aren't quite right, but that may be a function of the sculpt. The lower lip too looks a bit full to me, but again may be a sculpting issue. At regular viewing distance, I don't think it makes a difference; only on the uber close ups is it noticeable to me. The light reflection looks spot on.
The metallics are outstanding as always. The leathers look good, although IMHO the boots could use another highlight on the top of the boots.

Really stunning work as usual mate...
Not sure if I have asked before, but what recipe do you use for your skin on the gobbos?
