Looking good mate, and thanks for the tips... they may come in handy (I have still yet to give NMM a serious go).

@mousekiller: Thanks, this is my first attempt at NMM at this scale (I don't mean 32mm, I mean the entire model covered it in lol). I think its going very well. The photos look better than real life, but I think thats just because NMM looks best when the view is fixed. 4: Graveyard Earth touchups 5: Blazing Orange/Graveyard Earth Mixes 6: Realizing I screwed up the highlights 7: Blazing Orange 8: Bubonic Brown Left: Bad Moon Yellow bright spots, black shading, and possibly a red wash (to bring out the orange, and smooth transitions). I'm thinking I might go and glaze the Bubonic Brown with the Blazing Orange before I move on... It seems to have lost a lot of the orange colour that I wanted it to have. All in all I'm very happy with it so far. Hopefully the sword goes this well, I'm not quite as confident in my silver NMM...

I keep looking at the photos and thinking to myself I need to fix this, and this looks a little rough here, and I think this could be better... Then I realise how huge these photos are lol. I think I'll finish the armor before the end of the night, and probably get started on the sword. I primed Sister Evangeline earlier this morning but noticed some areas that need some more clean up still (she didnt look bad at first but there are some pretty rough areas on her...). After that I'll move on to Kaine D'elacrue, who will get a nice Blue NMM treatment for her armor. I did a quick shot of Kronen with his sword (no work on the armor since last shot). The colours are a bit more accurate to real life, but there is also a bit more shine from the extra lamp I used. I made it a bit smaller because I think its always good to have a shot closer to actual size (but I guess that does depend on your resolution too). New greens for Anima are up on their forums. Really nice work, I can see this company keeping my interest for a while. I do have some GW work planned though (Conflict coming up, plan on snagging a warpstone trophy). My librarian didn't place for a trophy at GD, not surprising though; he was in the slayer sword winner category. Second place went to another librarian that was admittedly better than mine, and third went to Dan Byers Blood Raven Scout. I've yet to find any pictures of my entry online (and haven't taken any myself since I haven't got it back yet), but there is some coverage of the winners on CMoN.

That looks pretty damn good!
Just a minor thing, the bubonic brown transition looks a bit abrupt, but overall it looks quite metallic.

I really like the orange look you have done here! Yes, the close-ups can really be over revealing at times...

Hey guys. Got an update on the librarian. I managed to make first cut. I think the fact he wasnt finished probably had an impact on that one... I did a quick shot of him, I'll try for better photos later once I finish him. Got the armor on Kronen nearly done, I'll post the pictures later. Also starting my first commission soon, harlequin troupe master. Should be a lot of fun.

Only the first cut, there is no justice in the world mate. Excellent mini and a great base. The Osl on te eyes looks good. I think only the armour could have gone a little further with highlighting. Overall excellent piece.

looks great matey, the lightning on the fingertips really looks cool, i agree that it could do with more highlighting on the armour but none the less this is awsome ;D ;D

Thanks for the comments on the librarian guys, I hope to find some time to clean him up and finish off some of the smaller details soon. I've got a bunch of stuff on the go right now. Liche priest and bone giant for my cousin, harlequin commision, space marine scouts and trying to clear up my backlog of grey knights and anima models. Got an update on Kronen, hoping to finish him today, and move on to Duncan. I'll try to get some pictures of my other projects up soon. Cheers. The paint job got a little chipped when I took him to a friends, cleaned up the chips on the armor but not the cloak yet. Pretty happy with the swords blade and I think I'll leave it as is for now (except for a few scratches to match the art work).
