Thanks for the comments guys. @mousekiller: The writing was done with a GW fine detail brush and black ink @jabberwocky: Freehand seems to be a bit of a hidden talent for me @faust: Thanks, I'm quite happy with the blues and scratches, working on a new librarian soon and I'm probably gonna go a little darker this time. The base was fairly rushed, but really I'm quite happy with it. I managed to snag second place at a white dwarf day on sunday and my model will be in an upcoming white dwarf . First went to Dan Byers (Jericho on CMoN) Warrior priest. Got a free $20 blister as a prize so I picked up the new Librarian in Terminator armor. Working on him for yet another upcoming competition, first place of which gets their model taken to GD, so really its a GD entry. I'll have pictures of my vet come friday probably so hopefully I'll remember to post them here.

Thanks for all the kind words. I highly doubt that it'll get covered in the UK White Dwarf, in fact I can almost guarantee it. I'll be sure to scan the page(s) and post it up here for all to see. I've talked to Dan Byers and I think we're gonna get together and take some decent photos sometime this month, until then you'll have to suffer through my terrible camera skills lol. P.S. Tim I'm putting together a couple concept sketches/photos/and paint lists if you wouldnt mind giving me your opinion on them that'd be great .

Ok. Snapped a quick shot of my sarge. Touch ups still needed, and I can't get a good shot of the back (freehand script). I'll take some better pics later.

Looks great, the red is spot on and the battle damage adds something to the mini. NIce to see you dropping in from time to time mate.

Ok. So here's a peek at my terminator Librarian. Working on finishing up basing soon. After that it's cleaning him up and priming. He was an incredibly good cast. Very little flash or mold line. As I get more done I will be posting teasers but probably not too much as I do want him to be a bit of a surprise when I get him done.

Comical in what sense mousekiller? I've started adding lightning to the outstreched hand after inspiration from some GW art. I'll post pics later tonight. Tim I sent you a message (at least i tried to lol).

I got your message mate, I haven't the proper chance to sit and give it any proper thought yet but just by looking over what you said briefly it sounds good. I will have a good look over it later and see if I can find anything to add so far.

Alrighty, thanks a bunch Tim. I'm hoping to update tonight with some shots of the base (a bit of tragedy there involving an incandescent bulb in a reading lamp...) and the lightning (still not sold on the idea or the application yet...).

Ahhh I LOVE seeing your WIPs. It's great to see another Space Marine fanatic ;D
The Blood Raven Sergeant is just awesome, the weathering on the armour is great, the face looks awesome, the metals are great and the modified Epistolary icon is a really nice touch. More pics please!
The Libarian looks great so far. But i must admit that I think the base (dreadnought arm) is a bit big, and may draw attention away from the mini itself. Looking forward to see the painting though.
Keep up the good (space marine) work! ;D

I pictured him surfing on top of a missile launcher in my head...
Sort of like a 40K version of silver surfer.

Excellent work on the Sarge--once again the freehand really stands out.

@mutantpotato: I have to admit i thought it may have been a little big at first as well, but after burying it in sand, I think its a lot less attention grabbing. Plus it's gonna be painted in very dark, muted colours, so it shouldnt draw too much away from him. Also the librarian is just jam packed with details, he's an attention magnet no matter how you look at him, I think he'll stand out quite a bit from the base.
@mousekiller: I do see that in the picture, I think since the missile launcher is burried in sand it's a lot harder to make that connection.
Thanks for all the comments guys, it makes everything worth while.

Ok, got a quick (reaaaally quick) shot of the in progress lightning. The photo sucks, and its not a very good subject to photo as there are all sorts of twists and curves that dont show...
