Does using non standard bases affect what you can enter in some comps I think i'm right that in GD the figure has to be on the correct sized base for playing Anyway, great work, great metals... i've been overloading on a devourer at the mo and i'm sick of getting metal bits on everything else i've already painted

I don't think the bases should be an issue for Salute, but for GD these would not be legal, apart from anyhting else they are not GW bases. Look forward to seeing your devourer, I have one on my table awaiting attention.

Personally the camo pants don't fit the ork theme for me, but whatever. Its a great mini, the backbeack looks extremely cool.

Well the Ork is now progressing nicely depite the fact that my eyesight ios getting worse (I am booked in for an eye test next week) I do not mind saying that over the last couple of days painting minis has become a real struggle and I can't last for more than 10 to 15 minuites at a go before I have to stop. At the rate I am going it is a wonder that anything will get finished at all. Anyway enough winging here are the pics of how the model looks at the moment Not long to go now before it is done, when I have finished it I am going to start work on the original Ork battlewagon thatI have had locked away for years.

Beautiful weathering on the metallics. What is the recipe for the leather on the gun holsters on his back?

Okey dokey guys, I have not done alot of painting lately so I am trying to grsdually break myself back into it by painting this guy, it is the Rackham's Huntsman of Vile Tis1, as you can see I am only painting the main body section first as it is easier to do it this way and add the other parts later. Also I will be changing the base but more on that in another post when I have something to show. hope you like it so far, still a long way to go but at least i ma back on the brushes again.

Liking everything so far, I agree on the red it's amazing, and the metallics ain't too shabby either. Skin tones are nicely fitting in with the colours on the armour. Great stuff so far Tim.

Quick update on the Huntsman, I have not been doing alot of painting this week what with the problems with the back, now I am on the mend I can turn my hand to a little bit of painting again, unfortuantely this is not going as well as I had planned but what the hell you can't always turn out top quality stuff, everyone has an off day every now and then. I realy must make a start on the replacement base.

You only see the bits I let you see some of the areas are a little untidy owing to my stiff back.

Sorry to hear about your back mate! Hope it heals soon! Anyway, no matter what your painting is still exceptional, whether it just be a stiff back or if you were struck down by the plague!

You are very kind mate, I have seen your stuff both on here and in real life and you are a damn fine painter yourself. I have now just about finished the main model, just the claws and tail to do, then i have to paint the double quiver of arrows that will have to be done separately as there is much that wil not be able to be reached should I attatch it now.
