I am liking this one a lot. The metallics are coming along very well as always, but I very much like the colors you are using on main armor as I indicated before.

Interesting mini, and interesting colours. I find yellow a hard colour to paint, but yours look amazing! But my favourite parts are the skulls, they look very realistic. How do you paint them?

Thanks guys, its going to be a couple of days before I can get any more done (work again) but hopefully will be able to post another update soon. MaGie the skulls are just started with a base coat of Graveyard Earth and then I just simply added Bleached Bone to highlight them I kept adding it in small amounts until I had gotten up to Bleached Bone on its own.

Back on more familiar ground at the moment, I promised this to the One Ring site some time ago and decided I had better get on with it, this is the second time I have painted Boromir from the Fellowship set and this time wanted to change things a little (brighten him up a bit) as the last one I did was very dark and in keeping with the PJ look. I am hoping to have this done by the middle of next week at the latest and then it is the arduous task of writing the article that is going to accompany it.

Must say that the tunic does look great, look fiorward to seeing him done. The film colour scheme is obviously great, but its nice to see something out of keeping with it.

Amazing what you can do with such a small mini. The coat looks very much like blue leather, which is a very nice effect. I actually like to see this more colourful version because it stands out more. But it doesn't loose its realism. Looking forward to seeing it finished!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I have got a bit more done today mainly the strap for the shield and is hair, in actual fact the hair is a bit lighter than it is shown in the pics, I went for this as after studying photos of the character (a good excuse to watch the movies again) it is apparent that his hair is alot lighter in colour than has been painted in the GW source books so I tried to emulate this and I think it has come out ok. He is coming along nicely now but this does mean that I have over 6o pics of him in the tutorial file created for the article so it is going to take some writing up.

Cheers guys, I had James over yesterday for a painting session and though I am not half as productive as he is I still managed to get some more work done on the Chaos Warrior, and this morning did a little more to Boromir. I'll keep the updates flowing as often as I can.

Thanks guys, Andre Boromirs hair is fine the highlights have been lost somewhat in the photo but believe me they don't need any more on them. Right I have got more done to the Chaos chappy. Really liking this one, I think now the head is on too it is really starting to come together.

Thanks guys, this is not new but I thought I'd show this. I bought my wife a new digi cam for Christmas which has a much higher resolution than mine and she wanted to experiment with photos today so I took a photo of Boromir with it. No fancy set ups or anything just a quick shot with the macro setting on and here is an enlarged pic of his face. This has now shown me that I need to buy a new and better camera for myself.

Wow! That is really impressive work. How do you even get the brush in there to do the work on the forehead? Very nice.
