Second that, the purple is a really nice touch to the yellow. The helmet is also good.

Thanks, ok here is one from a little while back, Ebob's resting wizard aka Gandalf the Grey. Nearly done now and the painting is limited by the sculpt quality but I do like both the mini and also how he looks now. Just need to base it now, that is going to be done as the owner of the mini wants it and is not the way that I would do it still as long as he is happy with it then that is fine. I have also done some more work to the High Elf, I will get pics later and post them up as well.

Despite the temparatures I have managed to get some more done to the Elf I have got to a stage now where I need to paint the cloak, the question is what colour and that is now my sticking point and threatens to slow this to a standstill. any thoughts?

The elf is looking great. I love the freehand on the inside of the cape. As for the outer portion of it, purple would be a good choice; but then again, I like the purple as an accent color...the cape may be too overpowering.

Hi all just though i would show the back of the cloak so you can get an idea of where this is going, I still need to smooth out the blend on the left side of the cloak as it appears in the picture but that is pretty much done now. The heat is making any real progress difficult. I am also working on another set of minis but that is a secret that I have to keep to myself at the moment.

Woah, looks like silk. It'll be good to see it after some glazes. Keep on churning them out!

He looks very nice so far I think that some glazes or intermediate colors will make cloack look better.

Wow--great job on the cloak. The battle damage on the shield is good. The metallics are superb as always. My only suggestion at this point would be for some additional highlights on the hair.

Beautiful work, i think you're right on the cloak and i would tend to agree with Jabberwocky about the hair... but the thing that bothers me most is the hand, i don't know why, it just doesn't have the same quality as the rest, maybe it needs some shading, something to make it look more 3D... my two cents

Yes i have looked at the hand a couple of times now and thought it looks a bit flat, the trouble is there is not alot to work with but defiantely something that needs consideration. The hair is still at basecoat stage and will not be black at all.

Not had alot of painting time recently so I am realy rusty, I have made a start on this to try and get back inot the swing of it, the mini was slightly damaged when I got it as part of a trade and so some creative basing will be needed to hide the flaws in the model but overall it is a great mini, the picture is a little rushed and therefore notthe best quality but I will post a better pic when I get more time. anyway here it is Hope you like it so far.

Without risking being your worst enemy (i love Pink Floyd so you can't hate me)... this mini needs loads.. and that means loads of contrast, the flesh is so well done it's a pity it's done wrong! Deepen it madly, truly, lovely and please don't leave the eyes without a pupil like that geezer on cmon, it's effective but damn stupid lookin....
I really want to stretch you on this one... you have enough talent to whip butt

I have deepened the shadows on the skin a little, the light washed out the shades but I still thought it should be a little deeper so I have doen that, as for the eyes I will attempt to do the best I can, but at the moment my eyes are next to useless, I am going to get some temporary glasses until I can get a full eye test so I might leave them until then. I will try to live up to your expectations, oh yes I have all the Vorag Barbarians that are currently out from Ilyad games so I will hopefully be posting a few more yet.

ALL THE VORAGS, yoiu lucky lucky git... if you have problems at the mo pointing try a micron pen... i think they ere excellent but too big for LoTR figs, so i gave mine to Cur,,,, where's the gut??
When i want to really really Really work on something i now look at it on screen, it shows up all the little nuances you cant see.. like today i just discovered a way to improve my metals...i'll lat u in after the comp;)
