Finally got some painting done i have made a start on this figure from the Coolmini range. Not the best pic yet as i am in the process of getting ready for work but you will get the general idea. I am trying a couple of new things out on the skin here and so far it is working quite well. I'll try and get a better pic tomorrow sometime.

A really cool choice of mini for your style. Will you be painting the hair grey to match the shadow? I think it would be cool... Keep up the great work

Thanks all glad you like him, managed to get some more done yesterday though the red needs smoothing out a little more in places. I'll deal with that tomorrow but for now here he is The boots are just basecoated and shaded by the way.

really nice job tim, i can see where the red needs smoothing a little, but the paintjob is excellent, metallics are great, skin tones nice and balanced and the pants look sharp, good looking stuff.
a few suggestions to perhaps think about, making medusa's eyes glow? just push the eyes a little more towards white and surround it with a dark green glaze (kinda like it is now) u could look to push her shades a bit darker, maybe taking the colour of her hair into her shadows (a blue or purple?) and maybe some green ichor on his axe?
only thing i dont like is his base, id like to see u start doing ur own bases so u can fit them more to the atmosphere of the mini, if ud like pm me ur address and ill send u down a few 40mm square wood bases, the fella who does em for us has given us a few extra.
great paint job tim, lookin forward to seeing him finished

Believe me nothing needs changing on it, having seen it in real life the photo does not show the true quality of this paintjob, the Medusa head is waaaaaay better shaded and highlighted. Alot of detail has been lost in the pic, which is a damn shame as it's a damn near perfect job!!!

Alot of detail has been lost in the pic, which is a damn shame as it's a damn near perfect job!!! Am sure it is Bru, iv seen Tims stuff in the flesh he is an exceptional painter, unfortunately all iv got to on are his pictures (unless he wants to start posting his stuff up to me ) So am very limited on wot i can actually say, but i stand by my bases comment. The resin bases are nice and all but their very generic, i think a self built base can really enhance the atmosphere of a great mini like this, so if tim would like to customise his bases or do somethin different then ill glady send some base making goodies his way...

Comments accepted about the bases, I go for resin bases these days as it makes my job alot easier. Yes they are generic but it saves me the hassle of having to think about basing as I really don't have much of a clue in that department. My photo's could be better but until I can get access to a camera and a light set up that shows things a bit closer to the actual look of a mini I am afraid the ones I take at the moment will have to do. I'll drop you a pm Dark as all freebies are gratefully received.

Cheers Guys I got some more done to Kordius yesterday. I smoothed out the red on the cloak and also finished Medusa's head as well as painted the boots. This shot is taken at a different angle from before so you can better see the way I have painted Medusa.
