Thanks again for all the feedback on Himmlich and Bonecrusher, well as you know he is completed and on Saturday he spent the day along with the Goblin Beserker and Puzzle Man in Edgar's display cabinet at Salute so if you were there and looked in the case you would have seen them (hopefully ). Well ello ello ello he looks armless LOL. This is my latest work and this is more of a bigature than a miniature, I missed out on this guy as a 28mm cast from Rackham so I was very happy when Fire Industries decided to release it as a large scale resin, I am having a blast painting this one, The arms will be painted separately and attatched as they are completed. This makes both painting the main piece and the arms easier. The huge sword that this chap also has will be done as a separate piece and added at the final stage.

Looks right up your alley, Tim. Is there anything that is not metallic?

Looks right up your alley, Tim. Is there anything that is not metallic? errr nope I don't think so apart from the base and the straps on the armour LOL.

Looking good so far, but some places the armour is rather red and very green in others wich makes it look a bit weird if you see what I mean GSG

Yep I am tinting the armour with magenta and green inks. I like the two tone effect it is giving the whole mini should look ok when it is done,

LOL cheeky lol right I got some more done to the big guy yesterday, bear in mind that the gold on the helmet is not done, it looked ok last night but today in natural light it needs a little more work so that will be done before it is finished. Really having alot of fun with this one. I am also painting pygmies from Black Cat Bases, I am not sure yet whether I can post any pics of the one that is finished and any further ones I paint but as soon as I here from them and get the ok then I will put them up as I go.

Hehe, great work on the verdegris--it really adds to the mini. When I first took a look at him with the arms on I thought, "What a silly pose!". Forgot the sword is yet to come, lol.

i love this mini, it really has lots of character, ill def be gettin one when i work through my backlog. I think the metallics look nice, i can see some green and red hues, the battle damage looks good, am not sure how finished the metallics are but i think u can push the hues a little more, especially the shadows and on the bronze. not too sure how useful ull find this, but i think ull at least find it interesting Automaton's Metallic Tutorial All the best

Thanks guys, i have read Automatons metallics tut but not sure how it will work on a figure this size, although the pics are alot lighter than it looks in natural light so I am happy with the way it is at present. I may add more to the metals once the whole piece is done but for now I am going to leave off with the glazes, the gold part of the helmet will be getting another highlight when the arms are done and before the sword is attatched which because of the size and the way it has to be fitted will be painted separately and then fixed and joined together on the final stage.

Posting this with one arm twisted behind my back, as I haven't posted in this for a while, as Tim is here with me, and is verbally and mentaly and physically abusing me, and as much as I enjoy that, I have to make it stop, LOL.
Joking aside , sorry I missed the update, and TBH it does look much better in person, now I have seen it, stunning metal work on it!! Keep on doing those metallics, I know you are loving them!!

With the completion of the Crow model I have now gone back to something a little smaller and also from my (still to this date) favourite manufacturer Ilyad Games. This is one of their skeletons that I picked up some time back and now i wish I had more than i currently do. Still a long way to go. I am trying to keep it fairly clean but not too clean as I want the impression it has been up and around for a while. I have been struggling with this one too, it took me three attempts to get the cloth how I liked and then anoter three attempts to get the scale mail to a look that I liked.

those extra attempts really payed off (well I think they did, never saw the earlier versions though ) anyway, it looks brilliant so far! love it ;D

Thanks guys, I got a whole load done yesterday whilst I was over at James's so all that is really left now is the base and a couple of touch ups here and there. I managed to find the second one from the blister that this one came out from so may well do that next.
