I am thinking about adding a bit of staining to the cloth, it needs a bit of work yet to get the highlights smoother but after that I will probably mucky it up a bit.

Thanks guys, Zappy the recipe for the bone is a base of Graveyard Earth (I love that colour) then highlight up by mixing in Kommando Khaki and then white to finish.

Thats pretty much my bone colour as well, except usually i add in bleach bone for the final highlight, I don't often go all the way white with any of my colours. The cloth colour is amazing, i think it'd look great with some weathering though, just a light dusting, don't go overboard.

Still very much in the WIP stage but this is the latest mini to get my attention. I am going for a darker dirtier look for the skin tone so I have pretty much got that where I want it now, I am having trouble getting decent shots of it today as the light is awful here and I am having to over compensate for it with my set up, the rear view though is probably the closest to the actual look of the mini. I am looking forward to getting onto the base as there is a ton of detail there to pick out. Hope you like it so far.

Got more done to this little guy over the last day or so. I have not had alot of painting time as I have been working away from home. But the sword is about finished now, just need to add some gore to the blade when the model is done. On the goblin itself there is only really the helm left to do and then it is onto the base which is actually very detailed.

I wasn't going to show this until I got it finished but with work building up that may not be for some time so I decided to put it up as a WIP after all, still a long way to go on this but I am having alot of fun painting it up. The pics are not at the best angle but for quickness they will do.

The flesh on both of those last ones is brilliant mate, and in particular on the fat guy with the wrench. Well done.

Here are the latest WP shots of Himmlich and Bonecrusher, still a way to go yet and there are a few blends I want to either smooth out or redo before it is finished but so far I am fairly happy with the look of him. I have really enjoyed painting this one as I have with all Edgars minis i have painted to date.

just a quick point before the critque, having trouble veiwing the pics, its coming up with a big red X, although i copied the URLs and the pics are fine that way...
I really like this mini, metallics are great as usual, the leather is looking great, especially on the big guy, i think you should add a little more trauma by pushing some more purple/mauve into the distressed areas of his shoulders, theirs lots of damage their but not a huge amount of discolouration and perhaps push some browns into the deeper parts of the skin to add a little more depth The base is well done, but, seeing as the mini has a nautical theme have u thought about adding some mildew build up? or perhaps some blobs of lichen?
looking forward to seein this one finished

Thanks, I agree that there could be more discolouration around the implants and may do something with that towards the end of the painting as for deepening the skin, irl it is quite dark in places already and i think that I will leave it as it is. The mini is based around the character from Mad Max III Beyond Thunderdome and therefore even though I have painted the diving helmet in traditional metallics the nautical theme is not intended (at least not by me) I intend to add a signpost kindly donated by Bru and some desert grass and possibly a bit of barbed wire. I did add alot of greenish glazes to the base beforehand and again irl it looks quite green and mildewed in places, again this hasn't come through too well in the pics. I think it is time to invest in a new camera and also rethinking my photographic process.

i can see the green, (especially at the front) but, in the pic, it looks more like the bedrock started green rather than glazes, shame theirs isnt any substitute for seeing things irl
