I really like how its coming on. The red might be a little too dark for me, but thats just my personal taste.
Looking good so far.

Red is pretty tricky...
I have a tendency to want to bring my red highlights all the way up to a nice flaming red (orange or yellow)... but if you don't want to do this you could always go down to a deeper shadow (black or brown washes should help out with that).
Great work so far, and what a perfect size rock.

More highlights, add them gradually and build them up towards the highest parts of the musculature. It is not easy I hate painting horses, keep the paint thin and use many many gradual layers of successively lighter paint.

please though, just dont say more highlights, i dont think i could face it lol Tim where you listening? I actually will go with Tim on this one, it does look like it needs more highlights, but the picture seems a bit dark mate. If it was a bit brighter we might be able to see the highlights easier.

Yep I agree, it could do with a couple more highlights, then some lowlights, and a wash. The wash is coz horses are bloody dirty things............Brrrrrr I hate Horses..........

This is a wip of my concept for a true scale marine squad, im going for sons of horus pre rebellion, this is a wip of my first attempt which will serve as the guinea pig for the rest, it still needs bits smoothing and also shoulder pad studs, you will notice the 4 harness straps look dodgey aswell but ill take my time with the rest, this was a quick mock up that only took a few hours. It will still be painted though. should be a scanner in his hand aswell, let me know what you think

Looks cool, but the bolter doesn't fit the pre heresy scheme, are you gonna modify it to look more pre heresy?
