I'm now attending my final year at high school (or what's the same as high school in norway). You have to buy your books for the three years at high school yourself. I have to do so too, and I am not angry about that. But all the kids that was born in 1989 are the last ones to ever have to buy these books on their own. EVERYONE that is born in 1990 or later will get EVERYTHING covered by the school system. And you could sell these books back to the shops or other students to be used in the next year by the students one year younger than you. But some smart ass politician have decided that we should get all new books, and the ones we used cant be used by other students ever again. So I have to buy 30+ school books (about 10 each year) all on my own, while the students born one year later will get everything covered by the state! And because all the school books will be redone, I cant sell them to anyone else, because nobody else uses them So I am stuck with 30-40 school books, worth over £1500, that's completely useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And not only that, every student born in 1990 or later wil get FREE LAPTOPS by the school system!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAARRRGHHHH!!!!

Depends really, can the books be of any use AFTER the education. I have bought over £600's worth of design books this year alone for my college course but everyone I can use for years to come.

The three shelves I put up, the top one, the brackets wern't strong enough to hold a load of books. So the pin's gave way and that shelf (4ft long, solid pine) and about 50books came crashing down on my display shelf. Then the two shelves and all the books and mini's came crashing down onto my WIP shelf, which in turn came crashing down onto my desk.
I have spent two days, re-drilling and screwing every bracket to get extra strength and putting the shelves back up. Now I have the task of putting everything back on them and fixing a good few models. (Lucky not many broke as most of them were in display boxes and firmly blue tacked)
The only conselation is that my laptop was closed, otherwise the screen would have been ripped off by the sheer weight of it all.
To say I was a little fudged off would be an understatement.

sorry to hear that matty my rant is quite a large one
first of all my good computer crashed and had to do complete system reboot lost evrything off it (stupid sister downloading viruses) so that took me a good few days to reinstall and update it all. whilst resorting to my other computer which also broke (faulty hard drive) then the house fell through AGAIN!! then to top it all off my phone line went and conked out on me so sat with nothing coming in or out for 2 and a half days whilst expecting a call from the colledge by the end i felt like jumping off something high so no computer no internet or phone.
then i got my gcse results: not as good as hoped :'-( but enought to get into the colledge course

BANKS!!!!!!! Don't you just flipping well hate them!! Why do they fail and charge for a cheque going out of an account on the same day a cheque clears. I had a cheque clear today, which means there would be sufficient funds in my account to cover a cheque I had written, but NO the bank does the cheque out first, and then fails it, charges me £25, and then clears my cheque in, all in that order, on the same darn day!! If they had cleared my cheque, then taken the cheque out's money all would be fine, but NO, the not nice people have to do it arse about face. Rang them and spoke to some asswipe who told me it's automated so they have no control over it. I'll get automated on her ass, with a rather large automated shoota, dozy bitch, she could have refunded the charge, but wouldn't, said it was perfectly OK and legal. ARRRGGHHHHH!!

Well yesterday was one of those days that are sent to test you/us. 1st of the wife was away for the night working with the college, where she teaches, they took the disabled, and learing difficulties student to LOndon to see the Tutankhamun (sp?) exhibet. For me it all started at lunchtime, was cooking myeslf some food, when both phone rang, alndline and mobile so I took the mobile call, while trying to keep my food from burning, and the cat pround goes in his litter tray, gets runny crap all up the back of his legs and proudly wlks all over the kitchen and hall, so I grabbed him, while on the phone, and had to abth him, burnt my food in the process, and had to disinfect and mop the whole of the downstairs. Then to get his own back the cat attacked the Xmas tree, and pulled off most of the dec's. After going to fetch my youngest from school, I get home to find my eldest at the top of the road, with and injured ankle, possibly broken, and with no wife, means no car, so had to get a friend to take us to A&E, and look after my youngest, so 3 hours later, we are told it's a bad sprain, 7pm I got home, I pick the little un up at 3.15pm. Too top it all off, the surprise meal I had planned for my wife's birthday which was yesterday, had to be called off because of the above trip, and overnight stay.
Lets hope today has a rosier shine to it?
