To kick this off, I will add what happened to me at work today. We had our roller doors rammed on the loading bay a month ago, and they haven't been repaired YET, and have a rather nasty looking gash in the metal, and to close them you have to hang off the bottom of the door to help pull it down. Well today the door is well and truely shagged, and I had to fight to get it closed, and almost cut myself on the gash of metal. Well I went to tell my assistant mgr that I refuse to use the door anymore until it's fixed because someone will get hurt, and was told to stop being a drama queen, to this I replied, quite firmly I'M NOT, IT'S DANGEROUS!!! Drama queen indeed!!!! [glow=red,5,300] [/glow]

ah yes i had a similar experiance with faulty equipment some time ago at work, the 4 ton steel furnace kept cutting out and stopping heating the steel, this is dangerous as to keep re-applying heat in a stop start fashion can lead to superheating the bottom half of the furnace and explosions, i was told to get on with it! go figure

Um, today I nearly emptied my normal* bank account, due to hobby related stuff. I have £15 to keep it going until either this Thursday or the next. I seriously hope it's the week!!

One of the things which really annoys me is the flimsy plastic things which are used in some CD cases to hold the disc in. Sometimes some of them are broken when I haven't even taken the CD out yet.

That's from the bloody delivery drivers chucking all the boxes about that the CD's get delivered in, something else that racks me off!!!

This is a long rant and ever so slightly political but I am the boss so there!!!!
I pay child support for absent children that in itself is not a problem but I recently stopped paying for one who has gone over the age where she is dependant on me and then I get a letter telling me my payments are going up, I rang them to say wtf is going on how can I be paying for less children and still my payments go up only to be told that that is just the way it is. Bloody CSA.
Secondly to top it all I dropped a bit of a bollock at work and have just been informed that I have to face a disciplinary hearing that could result in the loss of my job,
So all in all I am pretty pissed off.

Well, today I got a little annoyed. You see I should be attending the University of Sheffield this coming September to study Archaeology. But due to my course I have been required to send my certificates to the uni. Now, the problem is that my certificates are going to be two weeks late. This means it could jeopardise my placement in the university itself and indeed my accommodation there for the first year. It should work out alright, as it seems I can get my stuff faxed to them. But, this did indeed annoy me greatly as these are important and when you are promised them on a specific date, you expect them. >=[ KU

Dude, if you can get into Sheffield Uni then you should be happy, it is an extremely good place to be (not biased at all, hem hem ). No seriously, I've been and done loads of stuff there before with school etc. and it rocks. Good luck! My rants = None. I've just had a great holiday in Wales for a week and today is my birthday! What can I complain about? ;D

What was worse, was that we not informed of this delay![/i] and we could have been deep in the brown stuff if someone had not checked in. KU

Righto, kinda half rant here, since it's doesn't really affect me now I have handed my notice in, BUT...... Got my new delivery window for the Xmas period, yesterday, which starts in 3 weeks time. I already had a shitty window of 8am, to 6pm, which basically meant the delivery could come anytime, between those times, and we were informed 24hrs before so say, it would be due at 8am one morning, and then the next day may not arrive til 4.30pm, and my hours worked around this to suit. Not the best hours I know, but I had gotten used to it. THe new window of times is 6am - 10pm.................TAKING THE PISS OR WHAT? ? Could be in at 6am one morning then have to change my shift and start at 10pm the next day to be back in at say 7.30am the next morning. Sod that!!!!

Hi all
I'm back
Sorry to hear about your CSA problems time. When my daughter came off my payments it left just my son. They too £15.00 off the total for her leaving me with still over £600.00 a month to pay for just him.
Last two weekends we have had two partial power cuts both happening at 3am and I had to go to them and keep the comms room cool till the power came back both times 12 hours later.
Just heard about the report on bad care for cancer patientys in the UK and can fully agree with it. It has taken 12 months from first diagnosis to first treatment due to incompetent doctors.
Does anyone elses doctor hand them their CV and say they enjoy playing a guitar when they go in to see what is wrong with them, one of ours did.

My grandfather is the the hospital. He is old, and his legs are not as they once were. So when he were sitting on a bench, he fell when he got back to his feet. I am off to visit him tomorrow. I don't think it's serious, but he complained about pain in his legs, and can't walk atm, but the doctors didn't find anything wrong. I hope he'll be okay soon.
