Boromir is just about done, just waiting for the final wash on the base to dry and then just need to add a bit of static grass and finito.

Been working on another Lotr mini, Celeborn. I have also got a Chaos Knight started but as yet can't decide on the direction for the horses armour.

I've started painting a commission for skeletons from Otherworld Miniatures by the owner of the site, as well as carrying on with Celeborn. I also picked up another commission today to paint the FW Ork pilot.

I suppose I should but I have always steered clear of commission work as I really only enjoy doing my own stuff and with commissions it is fine until you get something you really don't like. Still at this rate I will have to go for charging people for the the work they want as opposed to free minis. |

Back to work on Skellies today. I have gotten all the large bone areas of the second Otherworld Skeleton done. Now just the hands feet and weapon plus shield to do and then I can start the third from the first pack.

There are currently only two packs in the range so I have another 4 skeletons to do, not many but it is very tedious (for me) to paint the same style of mini more than once. This is why I don't paint armies lol.

I've started properly on my entry into the ReaperCon Ordinance category--a CAV Dragonfly. It has been basecoated for some months, but the process has truly begun. I am quite excited--I've not been ever to a major convention before.

I know this will come as a major shock to many, me actually posting in the painting thread. But yes, it is true - I have been painting. I have just about completed the base - pin up girl freehand to do on the gun barrel (blowing a kiss hehehe) so i am leaving that until last. I have painted a one starred confederate flag for the flagpole. The idea behind my piece is like a futuristic American Civil War II, the tank belonging to the last remaining confederate state and being the anti-tank girls tank before it was destroyed. She will have this logo on the back of her jacket - appomattoxudc.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/logo.jpg which is some organisation about daughters of the confedracy so I thought it apt! I will post a photo shortly, I think it will look pretty good when done. dfb |

I've been quite productive today (for someone that takes weeks to paint minis), the third skellie in the first pack of Otherwolrd skellies has been the subject of my attention and i am about half way through, should get it pretty much done tomorrow pics will be up sometime tomorrow in my WIP thread too.
