Hello everybody! I have a problem (well I have many but I won't discuss those). I have just been told I am not working xmas eve, which, as it's a Sunday means double time for me and forms a large chunk of my pay pack. I've worked just about every xmas eve I can remember so whilst part of me thinks it will be nice to have four days off in a row my wallet is screaming at me for a refill. So I have decided that whilst all you guys are having fun posting in this painting diary and I am stuck painting walls and "DIYing" (you can read that as dying as well if you want!) that I will have a single paint day on Xmas eve to "replace" my working shift. This will be to hopefully sell on ebay to replace my lost wages to a small degree so I would like some suggestions on what I can paint on Xmas eve. I will of course post it in here when complete. I have plenty of minis lying around - I have some dogs of war (birdmen of catrazza, giants of albion, lumpin croops, loads of pikemen), empire knights, chaos knights, some skaven, mounted wights, some oop chaos knights ( I want those really though!), lizardmen that came with my warhammer set and bretonnian knights. Somebody inspire me with some ideas please!! To replace that much loved cash (you know the Love of Money is the root of all evil!) i would check out ebay for what is selling and what is not. I would assume GW figs go to the kiddies quite readily but maybe the serious dosh is from collectors lookin' for the more obscure I would say the minis you want to keep the most will be the ones that will sell the best Personally i can't see me flogging any on ebay, i just want my shelves full of them, yesterday ;D (That's IKEA DIY shelves ) Menace, you'd make some good money for your figures, it's just the struggle to part with them once completed that is the hardest thing! If I can make £20 I'll be happy, in terms of effort and work obviously it wouldn't be a great profit but so long as I enjoy the process and turn out some nice work at the end of it I don't care. I'm still collecting some thoughts and ideas. May well go with a chaos knight.

Got more done to the contest Orc, I should hpefully be able to put up a WIP photo later on today. Most of the big painting on the mini is done now so it is mainly just the smaller jobs to do and then to base it. Bruenor did you ever post that mini, if you haven't it is too late now as last posting for foirst class is tomorrow matey.

After a week of pain I have finally managed to paint a little bit more on the Orc. I had intended it for the contest but I have fallen so far behind that it will not now be done. I also intend to get the Ork Kommandos prepped and ready for starting too.

I spent part of Thursday and Friday prepping my Stormboyz. I still had to clean them, let them dry and prime them. Since I knew it would take a awhile to do all that, I started on Anduriel Brightflame from Reaper. I wanted to see if I could actually paint a mini in just a couple of days and I wanted it to be challenging, so I picked one that has a bunch of small bits and details. I still have a few details to go, as well as some shading and highlighting, but I should have her done by tomorrow night.
Amazing what can get done when I actually put my mind to it (and put my butt in the chair ;D ).

I haven't painted anything for days now, I can't seem to get the enthusiasm to put paint to mini, hopefully I will break through this lethargy soon.

Putting down some basecoats on a Reaper CAV Ghast that I won in a contest over at Mil-Net. I am participating in an exchange over at Reaper as well, and my partner is wanting another CAV, so I did some preliminary basework and prepping. I'll try and get a few pics up over the weekend.

Today I finish school early, at 11.00, and I had been planning on having a long painting session all day to work on my entries for golden griffon, a norwegian painting competition. But I was sick today so I have to wait even longer to start painting them But I got three months to get them finished so I think I have enough time.

@ Bru, try a blast on the trade forum, maybe someone will have what you want As for me i was up 'til 4am working on the base for Be' Lakor, and who said drybrushing was easy ;D After 3 hours sleep and a coat of testors i've had to rehighlight it...now i have to work, puh, i've still got a dead dark elf to do to finish it off

Still trying to kick the painting block, I have made a start on Gandalf the Grey mounted but it is only a half hearted start. I seem to be right off painting at the moment.
