@dfb ;D ;D and how much of that lovely paint did you decorate yourself with i've got all raw wood at home, to start painting it would be a nightmare, especially with a 000 brush so instead i won't compete with your magnificence and paint a horn on boromir.... (cheesy comments appreciated ;D)

Today, I worked on the Blood Bowl Orc for the contest, a conversion on one of the Wyrd Miniatures contests in the spring(a bit of a secret for public posting...), as well as the Vale elves. The vacation is up though, so the progress may slow down a bit.

Menace, to "paint" you a picture (pun fully intended) of how I looked after I finished decorating my box room just imagine me looking like one of those poor mini's you have carelessly dropped into various other paint pots!! What was it, that Nurgle lord wasn't it, you should know better than to drink and paint (isn't there a law against that??)!! I however, did not have a protective coat of varnish to shield me from the nightmare of scrubbing it all off!

No painting done from me all week, as I have been building my Worldworks Firstlight Spaceship/Modular Gameboard.
Plan to do some painting this weekend, all being well. Just won some 'crew' for the ship on Ebay.

KU Ahh the bane of being paid monthly and being in a job that requires me to be there more than at home, still I suppose I could have stopped painting for a bit and got that done sooner. On second thoughts naaahhhh.

I'm off to N.Ireland v soon for the next month so today i just finished my Orc ;D It really is something different for me, all washes and drybrush with only a few details (eyes etc)!! The drybrush is crude but i think it suits the mood i was trying to create, i've enjoyed the break and learned a lot from this mini, so i've ordered 3 more, the sculpts just cry out to be 'rough' , i think they will make a nice display vignette if i can resist the urge to start blending Post him v soon

Hello everybody! I have a problem (well I have many but I won't discuss those). I have just been told I am not working xmas eve, which, as it's a Sunday means double time for me and forms a large chunk of my pay pack. I've worked just about every xmas eve I can remember so whilst part of me thinks it will be nice to have four days off in a row my wallet is screaming at me for a refill. So I have decided that whilst all you guys are having fun posting in this painting diary and I am stuck painting walls and "DIYing" (you can read that as dying as well if you want!) that I will have a single paint day on Xmas eve to "replace" my working shift. This will be to hopefully sell on ebay to replace my lost wages to a small degree so I would like some suggestions on what I can paint on Xmas eve. I will of course post it in here when complete.
I have plenty of minis lying around - I have some dogs of war (birdmen of catrazza, giants of albion, lumpin croops, loads of pikemen), empire knights, chaos knights, some skaven, mounted wights, some oop chaos knights ( I want those really though!), lizardmen that came with my warhammer set and bretonnian knights. Somebody inspire me with some ideas please!!

I would assume GW figs go to the kiddies quite readily but maybe the serious dosh is from collectors lookin' for the more obscure I would say the minis you want to keep the most will be the ones that will sell the best Personally i can't see me flogging any on ebay, i just want my shelves full of them, yesterday ;D (That's IKEA DIY shelves )
