O.K.
[glow=red,2,300]The final part of the Turret build[/glow]
I've just finished building, casting and painting the additional 2 gun types for the Turret.
This is the Hell Cannon. A Gatling gun affair that I'll be using as a triple linked auto cannon in 40K (3 pairs of barrels 6 shots and a whole lot of hurt) Our house rules use the old Linked system of "if you have a twin linked weapon you get all the shots" not re-roll any missed shots. Not P.C. but much more fun. I just need to work out a point cost for Thursday night (game night).
I wanted a super long range rifle for the third gun, something that looked like the Gauss rifles in Battle Tech. so here you have the Sniper Cannon,
And finally all 3 Turrets deployed with a contingent of Conscripts and a command Sentinel.
Next will be the defense works to join it all together and infantry dugouts for heavy weapons/HQ sections to take cover in.

No problem. I'll go and do a couple of pics, be warned these are very cheep troops painted in a couple of hours to bulk out the army.
Troops are from Warzone and came in the starter box for £25, not bad for 60 figures with 8 heavy weapons. I've painted 40 out of the 50 I need for the conscript platoon and will be looking out for more of the same for 2 more units. The Imperial Guard army I'm building will be painted grey to match the turrets and the conscripts will be all red so they stand out on the battlefield.Pics as promised (not very good pics, sorry!!!), As I said, they are painted very basic so I could get them on the table for Thursday.

Morning!!
I tried out the turrets last night in a game of 40K,, WOW!!! ;D
The Sniper cannon I used as a standard Lascannon and it did well enough for the points cost (85pts Imperial Armour book page53) Killing 2 Necron Pariahs before the inevitable Gauss rifles (40 shots 6 glancing hits and 1 weapon destroyed results!!)
The battle cannon did marginally better as a Demolisher cannon(110pts), It got a direct hit on a unit of 20 Necron warriors and the lord, killing all apart from the lord (1 resurrection orb later and half stand back up again!!!
The Hell cannon ;D ;D ;D Lets just say at 174pts and after removing 5 Pariahs in the first turn and then going on to whittle down Flayed ones and warriors the points were well worth it. The rules were taken from the same book as above and adapted with the permission of my opponent so I paid for 3 lots of twin linked auto cannons to be mounted on the same turret and used the standard rules for twin linked weapons (re-roll misses). I didn't fail to hit once in the whole game and wounded 80% of the time .
We played for 8 turns with 2000pts each. A very enjoyable game and the first I've won against the Necrons in a while (however my 50 conscripts ran away screaming on turn 2
Man of the match.
Brother Selastine. Scared all the Necrons away with his friendly Lightning claw armed mates

O.K. Guys and Gals.
Over the next week or so I'll be putting up some pics of the new Daemonscape 28mm Sci-Fi Barricades and fortified weapon emplacements Plus I'm starting on the bridge to go with the road system we built earlier in the year. I will be asking for some constructive criticism along the way so hear's your chance to have some input on our new projects.
A quick pic of the new addition to my personal collection

Hi everybody ;D
To start with here are some pics of the 28mm scale barricades as they stand after a Little detailing, there is a long way to go yet but I've made a start on the basic structure.
2 pics of the basic barricade straight piece with plasticard (steel) plates added and some damage
This pic shows the straights with a weapons station at the end(slightly lower with protective sides). I have still to produce 2 longer straight pieces for the set and some corner pieces to complete the set and then I can detail the whole lot.

Thanks Andre, I'm not totaly happy with the way they are going at the moment but I'm getting there.
Here are some pics of other ongoing projects
A 6mm scale bunker to go with the rest of the 6mm scenery, it will have a removable roof and some optional gun turrets for the top.
And I'm working on some Medievil housing in 28mm scale, all are built from wicker, I just need to finish the thatched roof, not sure how to do it yet!!!!!
Bye for now, Time for a coffee

Not sure at the moment, I'm playing with casting in white metal so I can do some fine detail work, If it all goes wrong then there will be a mix of 4-5 gun types in resin like the 28mm scale turret but with some AA options and a signals post. If I can get the hang of casting in metal then I can really go to town, unfortunately the added cost of the specialized silicone is a bit limiting as we are only a small company run out of the garage!!!!!But we aim to please so I'll have a go at some fine detail work tonight

Looking great mate. I definitely think a bit darker around the edges of the pupil should help make them stand out a bit more... though eyes are still one of my weaker points so I could be wrong.
Scenery is rocking also, really great stuff. I love the little details like the bullet holes and such in the wall.

Hi Guys, sorry for the absence, It's been a heavy week at work. I've managed to get very little done but I did have a look through my unfinished projects and dragged a few old pieces out for progressing. Here's a couple of pics of my unfinished pile.
An Ogre Ninja with some of the base coats finished and my 2001 GD entry that never got finished. I'm on a management course next week so I think I'll take them with me to do instead of all the homework I know I'll be getting.
I did manage to spend some time doing the Dragon scale on the back of the Rhinox last weekend, I think It's come out alright so far.
Bye for now
