I have collected all my other WIP threads into this thread, and I will keep posting updates in this one from now. Here is a little update on what I am doing atm: The Astropath is back in the bits box and changed for another mini for the mechanical mayhem competition. I have got some more work on the Ork nob, and the legs and hands are soon finished. Only the head remaining and I am finished with the skin parts.

The Ork looks great and if you don't want the Astropath I'll take him off your hands, if you have some other stuff to trade I know I can lay my hands on a Draco, or the GD Chaos warrior throttling the Elf you were after. Bugmans Dwarf I have one or two of also.

I think I would agree with Rogue that perhaps another highlight or two would be good; what is there looks very smooth, though.

The ork skin looks quite strange from that angle, and you pretty much only see the areas that weren't finished yet ;D I will take some better pictures tomorrow and hopefully finish all the skin areas.

Orc looks great. Huge too. What model is it?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it ;D Closeups and better pics will come later today.
@rlangner: The mini is an old gorkamorka ork nob. The upper body, torso and arms are quite big, but the legs are really small. The minis is so anathomically incorrect that it's hillarious. But it's a great sculpt though.

Looks like a really great start on these guys, and I think I have been sold on the catachan green, camo green coloration for the orcs.

From what I can see, great work mate!
Everyone seems to be trying out some more advanced basing at the moment eh? Maybe I should try!

Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate it ;D
The bases aren't that complicated actually. I use some plastic beams from GW sprues and cover them in greenstuff and sculpt the desired shape. I glue the pipe to the beams, and make room for a pool that will have the water in it. Then I cover the greenstuff with sand and slate and glue a piece of cork to the top. If the bases turn out good, I will maybe use the one in the middle for my ork nob.

I have to jump on the band wagon, that base rocks. Too bad I don't do the 40k thing, or I would have to steal the idea. Matter of fact, I may use it for my skaven one day.

Very nice. I like the natural green. The base is very nice as well and really suites that mini. Cheers, Wolf Fang

Yep he is definately looking cool, I think a couple of thin glazes with green ink if you can get it would make the skin look loads better too.

Thanks for the nice comments, they are appreciated ;D @tim: No I do not have acces to the old green ink. But wouldn't using the green ink ruin the skin by making it glossy? And can you secribe how to glaze with inks?

Although I don't typically use inks, if you hit it with a dullcoat (like from Testors) after you are finished painting, it will take all the glossiness away.
Man, this one is coming out great. It is a little hard to see all those great details you through into that base because it is only primered, but just knowing they were there was excitement enough.
