Looks like I am constantly missing your updates as well mate. That is some beautiful sculpting mate. And your ability to paint reds is really awesome.

Got a fair amount to show you guys this time! Haven't had the most time since school just started (culinary school ) but i've found bits of time to do some work. Aside from finishing my high elf, i got these fun things done.

Added some lips to the column:


Quickly did the cape of my Winged Vampire Count Lord. I have ideas for the rest, but wanted to do the cape first to lower the chances of messing up any other painting that needs to get done on him:


So from my tyranid ideas (which i haven't finished 1 and yet the competition is coming up), i have the skin for one done, and it's likely what i'll go with some it's pretty quick, and i can make use of my spray gun to get the layers on even quicker. I did have one that had a dark purple skin, but that was proving difficult to highlight in a swift amount of time and to try and do an entire trygon in the time i have would have killed me...or at least something close to it. The muscle that is peeking through at parts was gonna be either an orange or a yellow so it could be noticed on the skin, but wouldn't stand out a whole lot:

Great start on these mate, and those faces are coming along very nicely.

I will definitely be checking to see how these tyranids come out, as I have been contemplating getting some for my Demons army...
