I have spoken with my miniature "dealer" , and I'll have 3 kanz in a few days. I'll have to see the miniature in real life before I decide how many of them I paint. The unit size game vice is 1-3 , so it wont be a problem to paint just one. But hopefully I'll have all three of them painted in no time:D

Great news! looking forward to see what you come up with I had a quick look at my orks and remeberded I had already split it with charley. I think I have 3 left though...But now when you have the kans it doesn't really matter...

I just have to ask before I start to paint the kanz(which hopefully will be in my mailbox tomorrow), is there any restrictions according to base colours? And is it cool if I put a dead vostroyan on the base?

Not alot of restrictions colour wise but earthy colours are what we are going for, this has to be an army that anyone can field so not too much of one colour that might tie it to a particular clan is the aim, ie not too much red which is associated with Speed Freaks though bits here and there are cool. The vostroyan is fine with me. Look forward to seeing your wips in the near future mate.

Gonna try to tie it in with the release of the new Ork Codex, which is released after Xmas.

I was curious as to where everything stood with the project. Obviously we won't sell it before Christmas, but I believe it can still be sold and the money given to CiN. What all is in and what all has yet to be done?

So far there is not a whole lot in, I have got some completed models I have finished two Kommandos and have a third two thirds completed, I have to grot big gunz and a few boyz as well as Jabbers burna boyz, we have missed the deadline by a long way but I still intend for the project to go ahead and whatever I get in to go to the Children In Need charity. I will have to go through the list and sort it out now that Mr Crown has gone at the end of the day I will auction whatever I get to give to the charity something is better than nothing.

Yeah, I figured the deadline had long since passed; that's too bad.
Jabber has my orks as he's putting them on a display base (as you've undoubtedly seen). Not sure where he's at with that, but I believe that he's very close to having it done.
Hopefully a lot of it is done (if not all of it), but, as you said, Tim, something is better than nothing.

I can finish the diorama base in short order; I could send it on now, actually. But since the deadline kept getting pushed back, I held on to it so I could add bits as I thought about it--let me know when the new deadline is and I can get it officially done with all the bells and whistles, hehe.

Well I still have mine on my desk and am working on it this week to finish.
You could auction off the bases we had made as well perhaps.

Yep I got plenty of those left as alot of people that originally stepped up to the job kinda wandered off but that is life, I am hoping to have my kommandos done by the end of January early February by this time the new Ork Codex will be out so that will be included with the auction too. I think with the minis I have and what I have seen that are in progress to come in we will still have something to auction and finally give to Children In Need.

Sorry to hear that people backed out - whatever the reasons might have been. What kind of army do you think we'll be able to put out there? I don't know Warhammer or any of that, so I'm not sure what we're looking at.

Sorry guys I am probably going to be delayed again (hopefully just a week). I put my hand through a window, just got back from hospital. Not my painting hand but it is my holding onto figures hand. I will take a photo of it when I get my dressing changed in a few days!

Ouch mate, I hope you weren't seriously hurt. Hinton I think we will be looking at something more like a small warband as opposed to an army, but like i said something will be better than nothing.

5 stitches and looks like some nerve damage so my thumb is numb. Lots of blood about but nothing to major really.
It was pretty silly really. My 4 year old was trying to catch a fly that I had hit with fly spray. I was just opening the window to get rid of it. Unfortunately the window gets stuck and needs a bit of a nudge to open, Connor got under my feet as I was doing it and I looked away, hitting the window instead of the frame. Edit/Delete Message

Easy done but you were lucky, a friend of mine did something similar at work some years back and ended up off work with his injuries for nearly 6 months.

I've finished the Ork Big Mek but I'm not sure whether i'll be able to post it or not, as my parents are funny about this sort of thing. I'll put some pics up anyway.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful but if you are not able to send it then what was the point of taking part. I am glad it is finished and it will be great to see pics of it, but it isn't going to help the cause if you can't send it to be put with the rest.

They were fine about it at first but then they seemed to change their mind about the whole thing.

How is this project going? It seems to have come to a standstill.
