well that ophidian is really something thats really immaculate workmanship..cant say ive ever seen a snakeman carrying a parasol ..i think the paintjobs are amazing as always..but the one of the lot id like to seen painted is still white..the wizard with the spirits escaping his robes?/cloak?

Love the dwarves. The AT 43 minis looks cool. Is it more of a skirmish size game?

I'm not sure about the game, but one thing is for sure it is a Rackham game and that means quality.

I do love the humans of at43 but the alien looks stupid IMO.
The thing that I like the most is the complelty different style from Confrontation. at43 looks more realistic to me, while still keeping a cartoony tone in the minis.
The firetoad (1st pic) is cool too, if not a bit static
I will defenitly pick up some of those humans.

Dan Sivils Reports: Rackham is showing off models for their new Plastic miniatures game here at the show; "AT43". The figs are prepainted and plastic making it a very different game for them compared to their other lines. The game looks to be a skirmish "Mech." style game with small tactical units and infantry. The game looks to be approximately. 28mm. Rackham staff are not giving a lot of information on the game just yet. The game is due out for Christmas. I got some close-up pictures which I'll post later.

Interesting, though I think the prepainted comment if indeed that is the case may reduce the interest somewhat. If you get any more info please let us know.

Partaining specificly to the pre-painting of the minies

" It's a complete new game and universe with Mecha and Heavy-armor battles. We actually work hard on it, to provide players with great miniatures Mecha in plastic well-painted. But every players will be able if they decide to do it to re-paint the models as they want, with their own color sheme.
As for Confrontation and Rag'Narok games, we want to have the best quality as possible for the heavy-armor in plastic. The working process is simply different but perfectible as the different between our very first models miniatures and now.
It's a different inside team who works on this game, the Confrontation/Rag'Narok team continue to create and produce miniatures and new armies for the med-fan games in the same time. Every players will be able to play to different Rackham games depending on what kind of universes (med-fan or Sci-Fi) they want to play."


"...regarding the quality of pre-painted mini, it's only a question of what a company wants to do. If a company wants and pay for a pre-painted quality mini, it will take more time and will be more expensive from our side but we will have great results. It's our choice... and it's simply the way : one of the Confrontation sucess is the quality of our models. We think at Rackham that if we provide pre-painted mini, we MUST purpose a great quality even for a pre-painting model, as for our Confrontation minis with the sculpting process which is very different from the traditional way of working in the industry. From our side the point is to produce enought quantity in a industrial way to have a finish model not to expensive. In this case the more you produce the best price you have and which mean that we will be able to have a finished fair price for our public. The choice of the plastic is one of the important point, we can't produce this kind of models in metal if we want to have a good quality standard as it will be a non-sense to produce this kind of models in metal and have a fair price too.

I think it will be ok as long as they do a good job, but by the sound of it they look like they will realy be puting alot into pre-painting them... Now I can get some and put them on my shelf and tell all of my clueless friends I am a good painter

Thanks, it also says they will be easy to re-paint as well which is good. Rackham's painters are far better than me so I think I would leave them as they are, and I would own a game with painted minis to paly with and that will be a first.

The other thing I thought about was that it would be easy to paint sertain thing diferent, like say you like the camo on the human but would like the armor to be a dull orange/yellow well it would be prety easy to repaint the armor but still leave the great looking camo that comes on the mini.... anyway here is some more intiresting info on the game.

One very interesting feature of the new game will be "interchangeable" parts, which will allow players to reconfigure and re-arm their fighting machines.

now im thinking this meens like a multy part mini like GW mini's but if it dose mean that they have made it so you can change weapons or put the mini together without glue so it can be moved around, that would be sorta cool.

Prepainted? What the heck am I supposed to do with that?

I really like the look of them...but as a 'mini-PAINTER'...it seems a little presumptious of Rackham.
