Brilliant. Always been a fan of Aenur and you made him look even better than the GW version. I might try painting up my Selafyn model like that as well if you can tell me how you did it. The display base looks ace as well. One concern I have is that the Sorceress seems a little bit out of place with the large amount of red involved. Cheers, Mil I sort of want the command figures to stand out, i'll be doing something a little different to them all.... i think i'm going to paint the mounted Malus as an albino drow!! The reds are as used by Tim Seeley for the Priestesses of Lolth although the Matron Mothers are much Darker... So how did i do it, ok; Flesh> base, Dark Flesh & Midnight blue>add to dwarf flesh>add to elf flesh>add to skull white Hair>base,Shadow grey>Space Wolves Grey>Skull White Cloak and boots.>base,Chaos Black & Midnight Blue>Midnight blue>Regal Blue>shadow grey>fortress grey>skull white I just keep building up layers from the dark base, very dilute mixes, like dirty water, usually i need to make 3 strokes over an area to make a difference, hope this helps

Well there is another mini that I own and will now never paint. This is awesome. you must paint him Tim! this has been the most forgiving sculpt to paint ever! i did most of the layering with a size 2 brush and in all there is only about 6 hours work in this guy...trust me, he is a painters paradise, just don't expect anything cool other than the profile, from all other angles it is totally sh*t

WOOOOW! That's just awesome. I really like the mood you have accheived. The colours are also very well chosen and the layers are incredibly well blended. I can see that model being my fantasy entry for GG 2008 ;D

Ahh, here is where you have been hiding Dennis! I was wondering what you had been doing since the GG. I always forget about the project section in the showcase forum. These will serve you well as a "tabletop" army. They are looking incredible and I would imagine you would win most "Best painted army" contests hands down. Not much to critique with these; they are very cohesive and are coming along splendidly. I especially like the base on the Queen.

These are awesome. It is so nicwe to see some else who paints Dark Elves with 'black' skin. I've been trying to convince my some that this is the way to go, but he insists on very pale skin aka GW
