I may have put this topic up slightly too late but, today is international peace day! ;D
The day when we all celebrate the people who have attempted to make the world peaceful. So spare a thought for the people fighting wars, and the people who have died trying to make the world a better place.

I have been thinking quite a lot of where the world is headed lately. Wars, conflicts and terror is not a way to solve problems. Today, some people were arrested for planning terrorist attacks in norway! This has only happended once before in the norwegian history..... And at school today, some guys from pakistan showed everyone a video on the internet were some terrorists cut of the head from a guy!! And they laughed at it! I'm glad that some people try to make the world a better place. It may seen quite dark now, but someday in the future the world may have world peace.......

OMG, thats disgusting. What is the world coming to, it seems like there are wars in most parts of the world. It's about time the world leaders sorted it out. It will take every countries co-operation.

You cannot just rely on World Leaders to sort things like this out. Peace has to come from everyboady and as long as there are extremists ans people with fanatical standpoints then there will be friction.

Fighting is a natural thing, its not a good thing but it happens everywhere, just watch animal planet terrorism is the thing that is un natural and is totally wrong, wars are wrong im saying there not, but terrorism affects the whole world. war only affects certain countries (unless its a world war) IMO i dont think there will ever be global peace, humankind is to greedy to be at peace. but, lets hope eh

Hate to say it but there is almost nothing we can do, everything is out of control and the only way things can be put better is for someone with a bit of sense (Odds = 1,000,000/1) to come along a say "Right, we need to get this sorted!"
It probably won't happen but meh, the only thing left is hope... like at the bottom of Pandora's Box...
And by the way, I never knoew that today was International Peace Dat (frankly I've never heard of it) so thanks for sharing Matt!
Keep hoping, Raccy.

I didn't know about it either, until my tutor showed me the song today: "Peace for one day.." It goes something like that.

No i didn't know either, but we are humans and we are supposedly blessed with the gift of thought and speech and there in lies the problem with so many differing views in both political and religious fields in life there will always be the people that agree and those that don't and those that want to forcetheir ideals and beliefs on others whether they are right or wrong. Unfoortunately to get people to agree on what is right or what is wrong is an almost impossible task but like Aragorn said at the battle of Helms Deep " there is always hope".

humans and ants are the only two speices in the world that have war on one another.
but i think more peace days should go on as fighting is pointless - but it will never come to an end.
also kinda ironic there was a huge fight at my school today which involded like 60 people - and it all started off threw the littlest thing.
