This is the first unit of my elven army i am currently working on for LotR SBG. I will be allying them to archers, swordmen and armoured wood elves with bow and sword(conversion, for some reason GW dont make Elven archers carry swords...doh), also in the army are (unpainted as yet) lorien elves with bow and sword. I intend to use only one hero to keep the numbers up as elves are costly, Glorfindel, and 2 captains , The name Ararim o Imladris is from Tolkein and means Noble Host of Rivendell. The colours are of my own design, i decided they would be High Elves in the 3rd age, defenders of Rivendell, in the 'Autumn' of their existence on Middle Earth. Comments appreciated... as long as they're not 'powergaming' remarks!!

Absolutely superbe, a pleasure for the eye to behold. Thanks for posting them here and also for the closeups which much better show the amount of work gone into these minis.

Wow Dennis! Super cool army! I'm building an lotr army myself, Uruk-hai. Maybe I will have the honour of meeting you in combat sometime ;D The only problem is that I've just got a liking for Gondorians, and I have a dilemma. Should I continue with my Uruks, or start a Gondor army And when I look at your elves, I want to start an elven army too ;D Cheers Mikkel

Thanx Mikkel, Stay with your Uruks and we'll arrange a battle in the future! I'm sort of on and off making a new game board, 180 x 120 cm, perfect for a big fight Uruks are not too hard to paint, and painting them should go quite quickly (at least compared to 40k). I have them in boxes, so I don't have to buy new models. The only problem is the time, because I have my GG entries too. But I hope I have the army finished by Christmas time ;D

Just wanted to say I really love the original paint scheme on this group. The blue and gold is nice, but I really like what you've done here. The metal armor and shields really look great. Would I be forward if I asked for the recipe?
