I am a complete fool when it comes to 40k. I am clueless. However I would like to paint some minis to start selling some staff on ebay. I have access to nearly every codex, and I can buy almost any in print miniatures from GW. What would you suggest would be a good start? Please, any tips will be more than welcome.

Space Marines are always popular on e-bay also at the moment with the new summer campaign the Vostroyans are also very popular, I think that as long as the minis are painted to a good standard you can practically sell anything on e-bay.

Thanks for the reply Tim. I am a bit worried about iconography and markings etc. to not get them wrong, since I know nearly nothing about the setting.

I think that the Vostroyans don't realy have alot of markings most of the detail is moulded on to the mini, I recently got a lasconnon team and looking at them models I don'tthink I will be adding much in the way of iconography.

With the new Eldar realeases you could always paint up some seer councils or something to sell. They have enough detail on them that they look good without going into freehanding symbols on them. I think there are also some of the craftworld icons on the GW site. You can also go through the galleries on CMoN to see if you can find something similar to what you're doing.
