Here is the latest off the table. It was a bit rushed to get it done for Christmas (for my mom), but I was pleased with the face and wings. The sash and robes could be blended somewhat smoother. The base was intentionally left rough, though. As usual, I was rather disappointed with the voting at CMoN. I was hoping the wings would carry her over a 7 at least. Here is the CMoN link if you want to vote: www.coolminiornot.com/177544

Yeah, not so much mine either--my mom has been wanting me to paint a mini for her for some time. I asked her to pick something out, but she had some trouble getting something she liked. She thought "something with wings". We had talked about angels, but a number of them she saw were the avenging angel type, which she didn't want. She had finally settled on an ogre shaman, because it reminded her of Santa, lol. I thought if she had to stretch to come up with the Santa-ogre connection, maybe I should just stick with some more traditional Christmas iconography and Reaper had the older, more traditional angels. If I do something again, I probably nab the Ollie Christmas dwarf or maybe I'll sculpt a christmas hat for that shaman, hehe. Thanks for voting!

It is nice work over all. The voting on CMON is always a hard one to pick. The thing I try to remember when I think a mini is a bit underrated is that in order to get over a mark (in this case 7) you have to get more people vote it an 8 than vote it a 6. Now if you don't think it's worth 8 it probably isn't surprising that others don't as well.
Anyway when I voted on it you were at 7 with 65 votes (I voted it a 7.5 - I like the averaging out it does with registered voters now)
