Yeah, it's alright mate, but I'd have taken a longer time on it, and made it look less table top. Bob's stuff deserves at least a whole day, of pampering and touching up. For me, being an old school kinda guy the skin is too Orcish in tone, Goblins (for me at least) should be a lighter greener shade. The cahin mail needs attention too, as it looks patchey in places. I can see what you have tried to do with the eyes, but you need more red and just a dot of yellow to make them evil looking and shine. Sorry to be so critical, but with the heights your minis have reached lately, this shows that it's been a quick job, take your time, and another hour and you could have something like this: He took me just over 3 hours to paint. All in all, not a bad paint job, you can do much better tho.

Thanks for your comments James! This is the kind of criics I need. Now, this time I felt for painting something rather quick, but I will take longer time to paint the rest, as you say, Bob's sculpts deserves much attention. I see what you mean with the skin, but i like the darker look personally. Also I love that white dwarf mate

Ta.
Don't mean to nring you down on what is essentially a decent job, but being a Boboholic, I get a bit stressed to see his minis rushed, take your time and you'll find they almost paint themselves, that's the beauty of Bob's work. Never found that with any other minis, other than Kev's old GW stuff, and they were Goblins too. Myslef I have quite a library of old Bob stuff, back from his GW days, as well as Reaper, and a few other companies he's sculpted for, and I have found that over the years, and we are talking late 80's when I bought my 1st Olley sculpy, that he's been consistant in all his minis, and my feelings towards them when painting have never changed from mini to mini.
Christ I sound like a stalker!! LOL!!
Looking forward to seeing what you do wth the rest of the bunch, and you've spurred me onto doing some now.

Yep I have to concur with Bruenor but for a quick job it isn't that bad. The base though really lets it down all in all an average paint job on a great sculpt, one thing in this hobby is that speed is not always the best way to go. Your Radagast is so much better and this should be in that zone.

Bob's stuff is sooooo cool, and full of character. I had a blast painting those DW minis for him, and now have a load of Scrunt Shock troopes to do, and am really looking forward to them. Best of both worlds really!!
Did you not add a shield to him for a reason, as I'm sure the small round shield would have looked cool on him.

Cool I am really looking forward to see what you do with the shock troopers. I have the dog handler on my desk right now i didn't add the shield 'coz i liked it without it, but I can still put it in place if I change my mind Also, Tim what would you suggest for the base? for the next ones I am going to use the spooky tree stump bases I've showed you I might stip the whole thing now hehe start all over again....
