Hi all this is my next entry for the Rogue Painters painting contest and is destined for the 54mm category. I love this piece but unfortunately I can't get it to photograph as well as I would like, the white is coming out less undefined that it is in reality. The shading is far more obvious in reality that what it is appearing as in the pictures. I am hoping to get a monster cat entry done but I have now got to start thinking about getting my CiN quota done plus there is the O-R awards and GD to think about as well.

I might get it now... EDIT: ahh your think about entering GD this year. hope to see your mini in the white dwarf

That's exactly how you described it!! Stunning mate, if it does't win you something then there's something wrong with the judges!!!!

Fantastic, the only thing im not keen on is that the gloved hand's fingernails are to defined, almost looks as if the glove has fingernails.

Thanks guys, the glove isn't a glove it is a hand, the fingernails are sculpted but I didn't want to do it as a natural skin tone and I know that some court jesters and mimes used to powder their hands so I went with the same colour as the face to try and tie it all in.

Ah I just figured it was a white glove.

Very nice Tim! Is the jigsaw pattern freehand or sculpted on the miniature? I really like the smoothness of the skin, and the mime mask is very well done.
BTW, are you going to GD? If so we should meet there and have a chat(I'm going there for my first time this year).

Thanks, the jigsaw pattern is sculpted on but it was quite shallow and I had a hard time keeping it defined when I was doing the skin, I then had to very carefully pick it out again once the skin was finished. As for GD I haven't made my mind up but I think there is a 95% chance that I will be there this year.
