I thought i should put a better pic of Nimor here if you missed it on the WIP thread. This is the 'Aenur' sculpt from the Mordheim range. I have painted him to go with my WHFB DE Army, 'The Army of the Black Spider', taken from the 'War of the Spider Queen' novels. Nimor is an assassin from the House Chausslin, and although he plotted against Menzoberranzen I was inspired by the character, as Dark Elves go he is particularly nasty and devious... and he's a shadow dragon into the bargain! Anyhoo, here he is;

I have no idea what all of that fluff means lol. But what I do understand, as that this mini is a great work of art The colours, blendings, freehand, face, everything looks great. Wonderful job. But I have to admit, I don't like the base very much. But I understand it needs to be simple as it is a gaming mini

As I said in the WIP thread this is an awesome mini and a wonderful paintjob on it. The only let down and this is by no means your fault is the slight blemish on the inside of the cloak.

Fantastic paint job mate, the freehand is second to none. Funny but the sculpt has alway reminded me of Drizz't Do'Urden, and would love to see it painted up that way too. Really goes well as a drow.

That has to be the best aenur I've ever seen, if not the best elf! I'd like to know though, how you did you make that base?

That has to be the best aenur I've ever seen, if not the best elf! I'd like to know though, how you did you make that base? WOW! Thanx all you guys.... i originally (as RT pointed out) intended this guy for the table and it'll stay that way but it was such a beautiful sculpt i had...HAD...to go a step beyond! The base is simply crushed slate on pva, i put the slate in a plastic bag and hit it with a hammer, then dip the base, coated with pva, into it, a final coat of 10 parts water to 1 pva as a sealant and it's ready to paint
