Well so the first Pilgrim is finished ^^. I tried to change my style on this miniature. Why? Because i learned that minis painted all in a dark style aren't really liked by the majority of the folks out there . So i decided to paint brighter. Now to the Mini. I painted after zenthial lighting and tried to paint the mettalics after the NMM techique (crazy, I know.... ;D). I also used warm color palette on this Mini. Well, I still have to paint the Grail Reliquae .... Well, what do you think ^^? Anyway I added him on CMON Ceers, Faust.

Absolutely outstanding work. The lighting is very well done and the colors have a nice, realistic look to them.
P.S. I guess I'm one of the few that like minis done in a dark style.

Great mini, the face is perfect. I love these minis but rarely get to see them painted, much less so well.
Surely everyone here knows already, but what is 'zenithal lighting'?

Check Faust's WIP thread, I wrote a short description of what it is for Roguetrader.

Matty wrote to zenthial lighting: Easiest way to get a hang of zenithal lighting technique is prime black, the spray white or grey from directly above, where the light primer lands, can be used as a guide for the lightest highlights. It isn't a hard technique, as all you are doing is placing yor highlights in a more natural position, but getting used to where to put them can take a while to get the hang of.
