The final blow. (Female Gladiator) www.coolminiornot.com/155267This is my 3rd figure ever. A few firsts for me: First time painting human flesh. First time messing around with NMM. Armor, sword and inside of shield. First time trying free-hand on shield. First time actually painting a base. NOTE: The figure seems glossy but I sprayed the crap out of it with GW matte finish. Yet its still glossy..can someone recommmend a better matte finish product? Here you go guys lets look at the pic here

You're doing great, the first thing that really struck me is the plume on the helm, it really needs a highlight and with such a textured surface you could easily pick out the detail with running the side of your brush along the lines with a lighter shade.... hard to criticise a 3rd mini... as for matt varnish you should try Testors Dullcote, not sure where you get it in the US but failing that Humbrol Matt Varnish is pretty good too, both need to be stirred/shaken like crazy first to get the matting agent well mixed in. good luck

Wow 3rd mini! I think you are definitely progressing the right way. I like the skin and armour, but the browns and red hairs could use some more highlights. Keep it up

Excellent for you third mini I voted it a 9 for the amount of progress you have made. Also I have put the image here so us lazy gits don't have to wait for Cmon to load before we see the result.
