Commissioned piece. Decided to take a In-depth look at the colour blue. All blue was from the same bottle either lightened or shaded. Second attempt at NMM Gold and first attempt at NMM Steel. Still a very new at taking pics with my new camera so sorry if it seems a little bit washed out. All Comments are Most Welcome. Question: how much would you pay for this mini? Here you go JNR as you suggested AW

Thats a very good job! It looks flawless to me. I don't have any idea how to price it, maybe just start it at 40 or 50USD on ebay and see what happens? You might lose a bit of money if it sells low but you'll get a good idea of your abilities for future ventures. Or you could set a reserve and avoid that problem.

I am not keen on these minis but I do like your painting of it. As for e-bay no idea as i have only ever sold a few on e-bay and got both ends of the market a couple of what I thought were good minis sold for next to nothing and one mini went for a song so I would set the bidding to start at what you feel it is worth to you. I normally go for cost of the mini plus a little extra for the time taken and then see what happens.

Very nice looking mini, AW! I like the tattoos especially. Great attention to detail. Not much to critique other than what Dennis mentioned regarding the skintones--but that is really pretty nitpicky.
Tough to say what this would go for. The market is saturated these days, it seems. As Tim said, ebay can be pretty fickle. I have not tried to sell anything either, so I can't speak from experience, but I think the type of miniature has as much to do at times as does quality. Semi-naked chicks tend to garner more attention. Popular gaming minis (read: GW) probably get more traffic than other minis. I think the folks that are most successful establish a base of support; a few customers that begin to actively look for their works. Try taking a peek over at the Reaper forums. I remember a thread on this topic--Anne Forester, the head paintmeister over a Reaper posted a sort of "how-to" regarding painting minis for profit.
Now that I have rambled, my VERY unofficial two cents worth: $30-40 would be reasonable.

Yep eBay can be harsh, or loving. Depending on the mini's that are being sold. My very first encounter with mini's on ebay was when i sold a 1000pt painted Necron army last summer. I sold it in squads and the flayed ones, which wern't particularly good by any standards sold very well. The rest sold for just over the bought price. You have to buid up a constant sales reputation with a new item every week or couple of weeks, then people will get emails on the new items, and if they have purchased before, they will perchase again when they like the figures. I havn't sold much on eBay lately, but the last thing i sold was the newest Skarsnik and Gobbla model painted. And i just sold that through a website at an agreed price. Meant i was assured of a fair price.
Nice mini BTW lol!

I like him very much. I don't like the sculpt, but the painting is very good. I especially like the banner. Cheers, Wolf

@ roguetrader : Yah the pictures make it seem a harsh transition between blues. In-person it looks nice and smooth. But i definitely see what you are talking about. The whole mini was painted in 23 hours. All in one span.
Thanks for the Comments Ill keep working on NMM

Really well done, NMM is not easy to get the hang of. I know as I am to this day crap at it.

Very good job, AW. Excellent work for such initial attempts at NMM. The transitions are pretty good, but I think the highlights could be a bit stronger. The crest could use another layer of highlights as well and the white helmet looks pretty flat, although you have darklined it well. I think the gems and loincloth are very good too. Cool base--I like the spent ammo shells.

Here are some more pics of my Bonejack. Tried to show how light would hit the chest of the head which in turn makes Everything else in the shadows as i beleive they would be. Not happy with the lighting yet, going to go back in and change it up a bit so the Green Cortex light is brighter and shines on the underside & ground. C&C ARE MOST WELCOME!

I think this is really nice, the pics are large and therefore give a false impression of the size. I painted one of these ages ago for a base for another mini and they are quite fiddly. As you say the green could be more luminous to show an inner power. Aside from that excellent work.

They both look great, the only thing that bugs me is the pin on the Beastmans foot, shame it couldn't have been more hidden. Nice light effects on the Bonejacks ribs.
