Hi, I just joined this Forum and would like to present my latest miniatures. But first to me: My name is Julian Morhard, 16 years and I live in Maryland USA. It is a slightly converted FW Renge Militamen. I tied alot of new techniques on this Mini (Source Lighting, Mettalics and and some weathering...). Although the weathering didn't turn so well ( I found a new technique to fix that . I am pretty saticefied with the result. I painted him as a test for a Squad, from which Pics will be on soon posted. . Well I hope you like him and comments are always welcome. If you want to vote : CMONThe next Mini is a Barbarian from TINs bits. I love TINS Sculpts. I choose to go with NMM at this Miniature, because I think it just looks better than Mettalics on this Mini. Also again I experimented on this Mini. I shaded the Skin with a dark Grey, tried painting Skar Tissue and I took a differnt coulor combination for my NMM Gold. I am very saticefied and I will probably give him a showbase when I get a chance. P.S: Do some of you know some online painting compations, where I could compete? If you want to vote: CMON

First of all: Welcome To WoM ...and second: Cool minis mate I really like the barbarian, the skin is great his lion cloth look a bit flat though but that might just be the pic. also I think the snow look a bit slimy. the NMM is great Cheers, André

Aha so you are the guy that painted these, I saw them over on Cmon and I like them alot mate. I think the barbarian is a strange looking sculpt but the painting is excellent.

Very promising work, the basing on the FW mini is very apocalyptic, i like it alot, especially the corpse. As for the painting i would like to see a little more variation in the highlighting ie, lighter tones on the top of the mini, especially the brown mask. The weathering looks fine but perhaps too many rusty runs coming from the battle damage Excelllent Barbarian btw

Thanks for the feedback Guys! I have improved my cloth painting techniques... It always turn out to dark, as you can see on the barbarian and the Traitor. @ Jnr: I know that I should have played more with the ligh on the traitor... The whit is to flat at the moment... But the Mini was praimarly a weathering pratice.. @ All: I personaly 2 think that the barbian is the better painted Mini... But it is sad that he is rated lower than the Traitor on CMON.

The trouble with Cmon is that you get judged as much for the sculpt (which you have no control over) as for the painting of it. Like I was saying it looks odd but the painting is definately excellent.

I really like the chaos bloke. The metals and waethering is great. I think the mask and pants could be highlighted a bit more though. The base is also very cool. I don't like the barbarian sculpt, but the painting is great ;D

Some really nice stuff there, the top one reminds me of Cyril Abati's work. The only thing i feel letting you down is the snow. Do you use a bicarb/PVA mix? If so mix in a bit more bicarb and a drop of water so the mix is clumpy. Then place it on with a brush or sculpting tool and push it to where you want it to be.

Nice paintjobs on them both, but I prefer the Barbarian, mainly coz he looks a lot like He-Man from the Masters of the Universe cartoon.
Looks like I was right looking at therest of the range, close enough to be MOTU, but different enough to avoid copyright issues. Might just have to buy these..........here, wallet...........wallet.......where are you.........?

Fine work on both, Julian! My favorites are the metallics. The weathering is well done also. I don't have anything to add to the critiques already offered. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
