i really love the grey knight mini's, so much better than the old one's ( not that the old one's were not cool ), i just dont like them in blue/silver, when the old one's were in eavy' metal they were painted allsorts of different colours so i decided to paint mine different. hope you like them

Unusual colour scheme but it works well, I would like to see a little more highlighting on the mini even it is just on the extreme edges of the mini but the two colours you have picked are probably the two hardest to make look good. Nice work I look forward to seeing more.

It's always refreshing to see another interpretation rather than the codex.... these guys look a little fascist for me though! I would agree with Tim that they would benefit from some highlights on the high points and edges, at the moment they are an excellent gaming standard, especially for what i consider rather difficult minis to paint...

Good looking troops, Rogue! I would echo Tim and Dennis's thoughts on the critiques.

well i bought a squad just to paint one up a couple of months ago so i still have 3 unpainted, i will get one put together and give it ago, i was thinking on how to convert one aswell, i will keep ya posted. at least the colour schemeis going down well, when i used to collect years ago if anyone tried anything different the beardy's came out in force to give you a million reasons why it would not happen!! lol, i remember i once entered a painting compo, i did a sm scout on a bike in desert camo and there was a bloke stood there for half an hour moaning saying it should not be allowed to enter because its not right etc etc!!!!

I know exactly what you mean, there is still a bit of that about espeacially over on Cmon, Lotr minis if they are not painted to the images given us by Peter Jackson then they tend to get slammed. I too remember going to a games club with a fantasy orc army I had many years ago and back then I painted orc skin brown and I had the organiser of the club saying it wasn't right as it wasn't green "Orcs are not Brown and therefore you cannot take part" to which I replied and exactly when was the last time you passed an orc in the street to use as reference" and I then left telling him to shove his game club lol.

thanks,i hope so, i seem to have improvedmassivley since when i first got into it,its wierd, before i stopped i was by my own admission CRAP, i had done it for three years and couldnt keep in the lines or anything, stopped for about 10 years and the first mini i did was a million miles from what i used to be like, so hopefully it will only get better.

Very nice. As others have said, its refreshing to see a new/different colour scheme.
As long as you want to improve, and you put the effort into do so, then it will happen. Posting on forums WIP and showcase sections is the only way to do it, be thick skinned and take all advice. In this way i think scores on CMoN can be quite reflective. I used to feel really down when my minis would score 5-6 but when i look back at them i realise that that is all they really are worth. Improving is hard, but doable.
