I had tot ake a break from competition entries and spent an enjoyable few hours doing this guy, he was really promising until i had to put the arms on, then i thought 'what a crappy pose'! I've decided to do another converted to sword and shield as the face is a great sculpt, enjoy, Dennis.

Ove the cloak, the blending is very smooth. And the metallics are very contrasting. Though the sword doesn't look as good as the armour plates, although it could be the photograph, and the light reflecting on the metallics.

Well done JNR. The blending on the cloak is really well done, which I find very difficult to achieve using purples. The skin, hair, and armour are also very nice.
To add to the comments by matty1001, I think the gem on the sword is a little unfinished compared to the rest of the model (this could also be a product of the angle of the pictures). Also, same comment here about the eyes.
Great work.

I love the cloak that is simply gorgeously smooth, the majority of the model I really like but for me (and it is purely taste) the sword is not working, cool idea I just think it a bit oversized for an Elf of any denomination.

As you said, the pose is noty very good, but I don't think it affects your painting though. The face is awesome, and i really like the different tones of blue and purple. The dirty metals is also great. It could be the photo, but I think the gold and the reds don't looks as good as the rest. But it's a awesome mini though, and I wish I could paint like this as just a break from another mini ;D

The blending on the cloak is perfect. However the Mettalics could use more depth. Shade a bit more with glazes.
