Heres my version of Vargas Metatron, a fantastic Rackham miniature. My main inspiration for this was Jakob Nielsen and your very own Tim lol, used examples and tutes of JRN's work and used Tims blood effect. I reckon its easily my best yet, but then im being big headed lol here is the voting link for CMONCheers! Matthew.

Excellent looking mini mate it is good to see another person that is not afraid to use metallic paint on Rackhams miniatures. I think the blood turned out great.

It's a really great mini. The metals are just beautiful. Great progress from your previous minis. Just awesome ;D

Iv tried both metallics and NMM now, and i prefer to use metallics, NMM just didn't 'cut it' for me. And personally i prefer top end metallics to top end NMM, i think the works of TIm C, Jakob R.N and nano stand tall above the likes of Alexi Z and poupee canopee (to name a few). The overall finished effect is much more effective to look at.

Plenty of Metal fans on this corner of the web and they'll all be enjoying the blade on this guy, well done You may want to try a very thin wash of the flesh midtone all over the flesh areas to soften the transitions and pop on a few highlights on the most profound features (eyebows/forehead), at the moment it's quite harsh. Imho i think you could push the highlights on the green areas too, green tends to be a generous pigment for highlighting and i like to use it (not like red or yellow!) All in all a good solid paintjob...8 from me Dennis

Awesome work on the metallics and the blood. I'd be inclined to agree with Dennis regard the skintones.
