And a great job you've done on it too. I think Olley's sculpts almost demand a very old school style of painting and after painting one of his titan orcs i enjoyed it so much i got another 3 of them, which i'm going to try and paint in a style not dissimilar to yours well done

It looks freakishly similar to all those figures they had featured in White Dwarfs around 130, definately old school as menace said. Good work!

Great work Bru. I like the painting, old school ;D
I got one as a wom competition price too, but I managed to ruin the foot. I will paint this beauty when I manage to repair the foot.

Thanks,
As you may have guessed by now, I'm a very old school painter, just something in me I guess that likes the more 'fantasy' style to it, rather than the gritty updated style used now.
Not knocking it though, some of the newer minis would look daft painted my way, so I would paint them gritty, but old school style minis demand it.
I just won some of the old Marauder Chaos Dwarves off Ebay and am waiting for them to come, and they will be big time old school style, I still have pics of them to work to.... ;D
MP, how did you manage to break the foot?

Excellent work mate, I am glad you enjoyed the minotaur, I bought some of these a long time ago and never got around to painting them, I might just have a crack at it now I have seen yours. Bob Olley has always been my favourite sculptor and I love his works he does now for his own range. The Titan Orcs are great too and I have the whole range to paint three of which I did some time ago in fact they were the first minis I painted after a long break from the miniature world. Anyway like I said excellent stuff.

MP, how did you manage to break the foot? The model came with a metal base that was a part of the model. I didn't like the base, so I wanted to remove it. I clipped away small pieces with a clipper one piece at a time. When the last piece of the metal base was left I thought I could just twist it off. But I didn't twist off the base, I twisted off the lower leg I really underestimated the strength of the leg. But I can easily repair it by pinning the foot and the leg back together (I hope)

Yeah, I see what you mean, I just covered mine up, with basing materials. Find it too much work to remove the non slotta bases, much easier to work around them.

I had to remove the legs because I will use the dragonforge 50mm resin base. If I would use a normal base I think I wouldn't have removed the metal base.

This one really jumped out a me, Brue--the shield is awesome! I think you did a great job on the fur and gemwork as well. Very well done metallics, especially on the sword. My only two nitpicks would be for a touch more highlighting on the straps (just very fine lining of the upper edges) and to make the bolts on the shield straps metallic; they look leather to me.

Thanks. I must admit I did miss the strap bolts to the shield, completey. Will fix them.
