well I finaly got him done after much trauma, until I get my eyes retested and a new pare of glasses to paint with this is about as good as it gets, though i am pleased with it and it does look better in the flesh than in the photo. It is a shame that I couldn't get it finished in time for the contest but never mind, you never know it might end up as a prize for a painting comp one day. I hope you all like it.

Amazing. The metallics are flawless. My only minor critique would be that the sword sheath seem comparatively flat.

thanks for the comments, yes I agree that the sheath is a bit flat there is no relief or no texture to realy make alot of it and to be honest I had spent enough time on this mini and wanted to move on.

Ive already replied to this on CMON but Im going to start checking here for your work now.
Its a really good clear paint job on a mini I didnt really favour till now, as usual the metallics are great and well shaded, hi-lighted and rusted.
Im curious about the base though, how have you made it ?

The base was fairly simple, I got a couple of stones out of the garden that looked interesting and then washed them clean, I arranged them in the way you see and attatched them with two pack epoxy resin glue to a plinth from LOTRCOWN. The top part where the ork stands is a couple of pieces of torn cork tile, I had to cut a space in one piece to fit the square tab of the orc in and then i filled the gap with green stuff and placed one smaller piece of tile on the very top. Once dried I then filled any gaps with pollyfilla, I used the ready mixed type for ease and left to dry. Then I sealed the filler with thinned pva glue and let dry. once that was done I added the usual sand and painted to suit.

Absolutely flawless metals...fnaar... but i'm not so convinced by the flesh, it doesn't match the realism of the reat of the the figure Anyway..it's only a taste thing, 10/10 for a blind bat!

Tim this is stunning! It's a fortune you didn't finished it for the comp The only little thing i'm not found of is the human head: maybe a more purple tone will add a more realistic look, but that is irrilevant compared to the great work you've done! Gratz Tim!
