Hi guys ! I thought it is about time I get myself a WIP thread as well. So here is what I'm working on now, This is the renegade militia Rouge psyker from Froge World. It is such a great sculpt, just a pleasure to paint. This is the standard Termie Liberian straight from the box. Only thing is that I dropped the backbanner thing, because I'm not that big a fan of backbanners. The goal for this one is to create a battleworn and corroded look. C&C is very welcome

Two very nice WIP's thee, I love the skin on the Chaos Renegade and the weathered look on the Termie really suits the model well. The facial expression and the glowing eyes are really good too.

I second mutantpotato's request. I have this mini sitting on my desk and I plan to use it as the leader of my Lamenter army. The way you have done the armour would be just perfect for him and the army in general. So spill the beans!!

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away for a few days. The weathering on the armour is just thinned down dark flesh. I think I applied two layers in some places were I wanted more dirt. As a addition to the weathering that is on the amour now, I have planned to apply a thin coat of watered down vermin brown around the rivets and some specific places after I have highlighted the armour.
And the corroding is a technique Mika shared over at TWF. It's actually quite easy, I just need to learn when It's enough corroding(I'm gonna redo some of the areas). I started with a basecoat of beaten copper/dwarfbronze. And washed it with catachen green/hawk turquoise with a dash of skull white. Then added more and more skull white to the wash. the idea is that it is lightest where it's most corroded. So its allmost the opposite of normal shading. For me it's a little hard to explain how it works, you just need to try it out and see if it suits your style.
And thanks a lot for the positive feedback:)
