Kaines Ogre Army

I'm working on an ogre army for the Nemesis crown, i want an ogre merc army so i've painted them up in empire colours and look and feel.

These are gaming quality rather than show quality but would still appreciate opinions.

First up is my converted iron guts, made to look like empire halberd's.

Nice start mate and if you are just aiming for a gaming standard then you are right on the money with these. I love Ogres so much in fact i just got the converted maneater that Lotrcrown made and I am going to be painting him up. Expect a WIP soon.

I love the ogre models and you've done a good job here - interesting details and I'm sure it will look cool when finished. By the way there is a painting competition on Ogre Stronghold - only a couple of days left mind - www.ogrestronghold.com/forum/index.php?topic=4835.0 - so why not enter it if you can get it finished!!

Ugly things, but nice clean painting and well defined for a warband, i don't know how far you are to finishing but a wee wash on the feathers would only take a second

I just got three ogres in a trade with Chemical, they arfe really coo minis and I look forward to get some painting inspiration by watching this WIP

Great stuff here mate. I like the colours, they look good, and are very eye catching Maybe some dark washes and a few highlights would do though.

Love ogres and yours are nicely done as mentioned before a few more highlights would really finish these off.
