Ok this is a very early shot of my forgeworld orc pilot. I've decided to paint the base colours first so i can get the right mix of browns for the various bits of leather, then i'm going to go on and shade all the leather.

Looking promising for such an early WIP. The skin is looking great

i think the combo of browns works well, i wont comment any further as you say its only a base coat of colours, not sure if i like the actual sculpt though, maybe when you have it painted it will look better?

Good early start, I got this guy too and I think it is awesopme, though mine won't get painted for a little while yet as I have other things that I need to do first. I think you are brave putting all the base colours on at the same time. The skin looks good I think though a few glazes with a mid tone would help blend the highlights more.

That is looking pretty good mate, the colour of the pants is very similar to the colour of the straps and is making them blend in together a little, I think a bit of darkshading around these areas would make them stand out better. This is really a great mini though isn't it? I am going to be painting mine soon.

Yes, its a great mini to paint, the worst part is the fingerless gloves, you have to catch the transition from leather to skin. Heres a slightly better pic, i'll probably darken the trousers a little.

it does not look bad so far, i think making the trousers darker is a good ida.

would you say this one is an accurate representation of how it looks irl?

Yes, pretty accurate, maybe a little grainey.

try to sharpen the image a bit more but keep those settings mate, its easier to give feedback if its as natural as poss, i would say same as before, go darker on the trusers, or just backshade around the outline of the straps?
