Well, I started painting him yesterday. I tried to change my style. I am going for an brighter style. Again painted after zential lighting. What do you think and do you like the new style? P.S.: The sword is painted in Mettalics.

You are both great painters. Out of interest how old are you both? Im pretty sure Faust is youngish/teenager age.
The zenithal is there, and working well, but in some places I would go even deeper with the shadows, e.g. under the sword arm sleeve on Faust's model.

looks cool mate, are there any tutorials on this zenital lighting? i really like your style Easiest way to get a hang of zenithal lighting technique is prime black, the spray white or grey from directly above, where the light primer lands, can be used as a guide for the lightest highlights. It isn't a hard technique, as all you are doing is placing yor highlights in a more natural position, but getting used to where to put them can take a while to get the hang of.

@ Matty: I am 16. I choose not to go to dark, because I tried to keep my style bright.

So young and so talented now, what will you be like in a few years time. Excellent start I never got into the whole zenithal lighting thing but I am slowly beginning to rethink that opinion.

Wow, very impressive and very nice models to. I always though the Grail Pilgrims were the best models in the Bret range. I'll definitely try the zenital lighting stuff. Great work and great project. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers, Wolf Fang Couldn't agree more.

Your painting skills are extremely impressive, compared to your age and time in the hobby. I'm smelling Golden Demon statues! ;D
