Fausts W.I.P. thread

Firstly hi to you all! ;D I am new here, so first something about me:
My name is Julian Morhard. I am 16 years old and live near Washington D.C.
Well, this is going to be my future W.I.P. thread. I will just post all my W.I.P. minis in here.
I am going to start of with my Empire Steam Horse. I tried to make the Metal look all bashed up and rusty. Its kinda wierd... For the one year I have been painting, I have been praticing NMM and know where I can paint it, I start using mettalics. Hope I get it finshed this week.
Well here the Pics:

Know to my next Project:
A Armageddon Steel Legion Commandsquad...
I want to finish this unit untile the 22nd of June so I can take them to a special Event following up the next day....
Models planed for the Squad are:
- a heavy Bolter Team
- 1 normal Steel Legion Trooper
- 1 Steel Legion Commander
- 1 Steel Legion Tropper with melter
- maby 1 Steel legion Commisar
The Paintjob
The Sheme created it self during the painting.... I really like it . All Minis are going to painted in Mettalics yet again... Of course there is going to be wearthering and loads of scratches.... I changed my techique a bit so I get brighter results.
Well here is the Gunner of the Heavy Bolter. Still very W.I.P...... I will make scratches in the cloak... Sorry for the bad pics... i just quickly made some beside my printer... Do some of you have an idea on what bases I should place them?

Great start, i was considering the basing and as these guys look inspired by WW1 troops you may like to take inspiration from some images of those battlegrounds, although i think they'd look ubercool on a cityfight style base, lots of rubble and such like ?

Well, I have painted abit more on the Centurus Clone out of the Tutorial... What do you think?

Yet another great start--there has been a slew of these! Very good job on the weathering. I would agree with Jnr that a city type base would be the way to go on the top fellow.

I decided to give the Steel Legion Guys a Hangar Base\desert base... Just Wait and see...

It is looking good, I shall be watching the process on the skin with interest. Seeing this keeps making me want to get my Centurious and Nefarious clones out and start them.

Nice! The armor is very well done. Red is tough to photograph--I think it could use either more shading (if you like the current color) or additional highlighting (if you want a brighter red). The skin tone looks good as well. The eyes seem a bit off to me; perhaps it is the OSL effect. I think you were too heavy with the lighting around the eyes. IMHO you need to scale it back a bit.

Looking great love the armour , would have to agree about the eyes , the osl seems a bit heavy other then that i cant wait to see the finish of this mini,
