Mmmm the skin to me looksa ok and like you say you are suffering from poor quality pictures so it is hard to see the real look of the work you have done. I would say that the skin still needs more work from the look of these images.

Some better pics, with the skin highlighted a bit further. Comments would be appreciated. Cheers, Wolf Fang

Ok mate the skin looks better in those pic but just a little more work at lightening the highlights would go a long way to making this pop more.

Hehe, thanks Tim, I think that's my problem though: I'm afraid to overhighlight. Anyway, a bit more progress in the form of his ears. Struggled a bit to find a realistic colourscheme, untill I studied the ears of my GF's dog quite intensely during his monthly bath. It appears the skin colour is inside and it gets black towards the edges. So here's my attempt at trying to recreate that effect. Comments would be appreciated. (Never mind the mouth, I'm still working on that one. Cheers, Wolf

I think that's my problem though: I'm afraid to overhighlight. So am I! I have a long way to go, but overhighlighting is pretty easy to remedy; just go over the area in question with a thin glaze of your basecoat color and it will tone it down.

Hi guys, been experimenting a bit on a Nurgle Lord on foot I had lying around. Finally found a way of painting the armour in a filthy/infected way and would like to know what you think of it. Cheers, Wolfie OT: Ordered some of Felix Paniagua's Avatar's of War heroes. I'm really looking forward to receiving these, 'cos the kick arse.

Yeah, I know. It just really paints itself. Small surfaces, but unlike WE, you can paint them the same colour and it still looks good. I'm hoping it'll turn out as good as yours once it's finished. Cheers, Wolf Fang

Looking good I really like the base, it has an interesting look. I think the armour is really cool too, but maybe a bit shiny, what about giving it a few very diluted washes of brown to one it down? I also think you could highlight the face a bit more. But as i have said I think its looking really cool keep up the great work Andre

Thanks for the reply mate. The top half of the armour has only just received the first wash with a Brown and Black ink mix. He should get 2-3 glazes with a DA green, black ink and rotting flesh mix. That will dull it down a lot and make it look like the armour plates on the bottom half. And the skin indeed needs some more highlights. Hadn't quite finished it yet, but I should've mentioned that. Cheers, Mil

That base is really awesome. You have all the elements - rock, dirt, grass, and a bit of nasty looking liquid. Perfect.

Yep looking good mate I think the armour needs to be more grimy still but definitely on the right track with this one.

I agree, the base is looking great. The others have covered any comments I might have on the armor. I think the skin could look a bit more sickly--perhaps some green or purple?

Update on the Nurgle Lord: Added some oxidised bronze as a contrast with the metal. Gave the skin another Purple glaze and added more purple to the lower eyelids. Sorry for the crappy pics. Comments and crits would be appreciated. Cheers, Wolfie
