This is/ or was now i've seen the photos/ going to be the captain of my GK's. One of the most complex scuplts i've tried at 30mm. I'm not totally happy so far, a lot of experiments has left the mini not as crisp as i would like, and i would consider buying another just to tidy him up!! There is some dust from the snow base on him too and although i've washed him down i ain't got it all I do like the colour choices, and the snow bit, but it's so bloody messy i will have to rethink my methodology.... ...well, here he is I think he has to be photo'ed in natural light, the halogen lights i'm using are drowning the details and contrasts

Holy shit!!! That is amazing! It's one of the best minis I have ever seen! I can't wait to see it in real life. The red armour is so good, the blade is amazing and the cloak is awesome. I was working on my minis and thought they came out good, but when I saw this, my minis look like crap It's kind of depressing ;D Nobody else in Norway can paint that good!

Brilliant work mate, you are starting to make me want to pack in. I think I might hold a garage sale of all my minis.

Awesome work, Dennis! I very much like the coloring of the cape and the freehand is impeccable. The fact that you didn't get all the snow off him is fine--adds a bit of weathering to him! Critiques, critiques...well after looking for five minutes, I have a couple extremely minor (and probably nonexistant) suggestions. Some of the transitions on the face, particularly towards the shading, seem a bit abrupt. Perhaps just a hint of another highlight on the lower lip. Do you think the sword could/should be highlighted up to a pure white hotspot? Again these are very niggling, but it is a WIP after all .

Thanks guys, better pics coming soon.... Good pointers Sean, i was with you on the face and bled it all together with a few light glazes and a highlight on the lip, much better, sometimes you cant see the problem for looking The Sword is metallics and already as hot as mithril will allow, pics in daylight should help, to be honest imho it is the best blade i've ever done, but then it is MASSIVE and forgiving to paint
