I started working on the last guy for a mould im filling, stephan the great. I have goptten this far and can't think where to go next. He's a portly fella and I didn't see him in much of an action pose, but the pose has turned out static the on;y way I can think to fix him is to make him holding a standard. Any other ideas? Right now he looks very plain from the front, though I like how the cloak turned out.

Maybe have him "leading the charge" with one arm forward and holding a sword above his head and the other behind him rallying his troops and urging them forward.

That sounds like a good idea, maybe have his other hand cuped around his mouth like he is shouting.

Looks pretty good so far, maybe the front tabard's bottom could benefit from more definition. I like Tim's idea, combining the cuped hand and the sword held forward.
