So, it seems after the last weeks' hot weather a concentrated storm balances the account. Here are some pictures of Budapest from yesterday: Underground: A main street: Bus:

Amazing pics, it seems that extremes in weather are becoming the norm in the world today, the question is is this the normal development of the worlds weather systems or someting far more disturbing ie the way that humankind is abusing the planet. I for one think it is the latter and that all governments worldwide should be taking serious notice of what is happening and look for positive ways to try and slow it down. I was watching something the other day that was saying that in the next 10 to 20 years the Amazonian rain forest will dissappear completely, that would have a devastating effect on the world ecology. It is getting seriosus now changes in the weather patterns and the increase in adverse weather are getting more noticeable each year.

Yeah, I think so too... It's getting more and more obvious that things are going out of control up there. All those hurricanes, tsunamis, heat or cold waves and storms... This month was the hottest month here in Germany since they started weather recording in 1901. So it was in Hungary. Then such a storm comes out of nothing that the water fills up the streets and underground. Sometimes I'm not so sure it was a good idea to have a child... They'll have it really bad later.

I too worry about my children having to grow up in the world the way it is going. Hopefully they will have more sense than us and make a better place to live in.

The biggest problem with ecological problems is debatable but one thing for certain is that the American Administration refusing to join the Kyoto Protocol on pollution reduction shows how capitalist modality doesn't give two cents for the environment when it comes against economy USA produces 25% of the worlds atmospheric pollution, more than China and yet has approx. 3% of the world population. They are one of only 3 world nations not to take it upon themselves to join Kyoto... Forget the future.
