Back from holidays but not a complete break from mini's! Every chance i got to sneak online and paint a little i took it So here's what i've been working on, i'm taking a long time over it and enjoying the challenge. The metals still need a final highlight and the plume, some parts are incomplete but i'm happy with the detailing so far. It was great to visit Ireland as i got to buy loads of railway scenic stuff i just can't get in Norway so i might do a little more to the base?? Any comments...

Welcome back, Menace! Missed your insightful comments these past few weeks. Glad you had a good holiday. Great highlighting on the fur on the cloak and I really like your Tartan. I really don't have much to critique--you already got the additional highlighting of the plume and armor on your to do list. He might look even more intimidating with hands, though...

That's brilliant menace, look forward to seeing it all complete. What is the rock made from? It was a bit of cement i found lying around, nice and flat, i just broke it up into pieces... its really easy to drill for pinning

Ahhhh. I scraped a bucket which had tile adhesive gunk in once, that made pretty good rocks and also a great big chunk of air drying clay still in its pack which was so old it was dry and broke into lovely shaped pieces - just had to sculpt the top of course. At the moment i am using cornish stone which i nicked off a wall from along my road. The base looks very good anyway.

I really like this one, and it's just as good as your minis always are ;D I like the tartan skirt, and the fur cloak. I also really like the metals on his stomach and left arm, it looks like old weathered copper. Awesome paint job Dennis!
Cheers
Mikkel
