Here is my contribution to the Chest of Colors Anniversary Project, a possessed marine. This is actually my first rather serious attempt to make a conversion. The original idea what I wanted to achieve was to catch the moment when the chaos marine is being possessed. Hanging in the air, his body bent in pain, armour parts cracking up, and so on... I thought his hands would hang lifelessly too, but I changed my mind. Now he is more like jumping at the enemy, attacking while some transformation takes place (eg the helmet blows and his new head pop out). I only link the pictures as they are too big: BeginningHere I had the hands already cut up and straightened. Head glued in, and I did some GS transformations on the armour. In the middle 1In the middle 2In the middle 3Here the base is ready, the figure is assembled and pinned to the base. Finished 1Finished 2Here shoulder pads are on and I made some additional GS stuff, like the spikes and the face on the belt. This latter didn't turn out very nice, looks rather like an old dwarf which doesn't fit to the mini... Oh, well It was difficult to me to have the GS's surface smooth, but in most of the cases it came along quite nice. All comments are welcome.

Cool conversion--I really like the helmet splitting. I look forward to seeing this one painted! Getting that GS to be nice and smooth is a trick I have yet to master...

Very well done, I like the head splitting open - a very nice touch!

I love the whole idea. I have yet to master the ways with GS. Keep us posted on this one.

No, not yet... Quite busy lately, I didn't have time and when I had time, it was so hot, that I rather went down in the cellar and bunkered myself at the beer-fridge Yesterday there was 37 degrees Celsius here...
