I like the looks of him so far. Good color choices. Are you planning on doing any freehand?

I think freehand is one of those things that will make or break a mini, I know it terrifies the hell out of me so I rarely do it. I think the robe/skirt could do with a little more shading/highlighting, and possibly a little more work on the sword blade, I can't see at the moment whether you are going for nmm or metalics. The amour looks about spot on though.

Well, i changed the colour scheme a little.I think now he looks more interesting. What do YOU think? i have re-ordered you pictures so that the page layout is more manageable, I have also deleted a couple of posts as they were just repeating themselves needlessly. Tim C Thanx Tim!

I like the white hair! Adds a nice bit of contrast.

Coming along well, the white is better than black. I would also say, the robe should get more shading/highlights. As for the freehand, I read a littl trick somewhere: varnish the area first and paint your freehand on the varnish. If it comes out bad, you can remove it using a little brush soap, without damaging the paint under the varnish. I haven't tried this method myself, but I have heard from several people, that it works.

Is the base finished Charley? I think it needs a little variation on the rocky stuff... the tree is superb

Excellent diorama. I agree with Menace--the rocks seem a bit too uniform in coloration.

Thank you for your comments! Thing is:to the naked eye the rock looks a little more 'colourful',on the pics it looks quite drab. When it's finished(..still contemplating some freehand..) i'll get up better pics. I'm not quite happy how the minis are positioned, in my eyes they seem to be off balance rather than in motion. Whaddaya think?

If anything the samurai to the right of the pic looks a little of balance, leaning back too much for the stance of his legs the left hand warrior looks good to me, nice touch with the foot slightly raised
