A couple of days ago I was down at a store where they sell all sorts of animal stuff. Not only the animals themselves, but also a lot of equipment and basically all sorts of animal related stuff. I didn't look for anything mini-related, but I found some cool stuff. Dried moss and other dried growth (can I say that?), perfectly shaped bark, cork, and lots of stuff that can be used for mini scenery and basing. So a little tip is to go down to your local pet shop, and you may be suprised with what you can find (at least I was!)

I discovered that a few days ago as well, lots of nice stuff for basing in the pet stores indeed. Or you could do as me, peal of bark from maple trees when nobody sees you I felt like a complete moron standing there with pockets filled with bark

Haha I did the same thing aswell. The bark was too big for my pockets so I walked through my neighbourhood with large chunks of bark in my hands

Iv tried pet shops and stuff before, problem is in the UK they are ridiculously expensive. Cheaper to go to a hobby store and buy stuff from there.

My local hobby shop just closed doors and that gives me a strange feeling, I bought my first Airfix kit there when I was 7 years old. Luckily the local game shop reacted by stocking more and more railroad stuff for their wargaming customers

Yep the hobby industries shops are starting to find it hard going out there, I think the internet has alot to do with that.
